Motorcycle deputy, Sadie Lazar is no damsel in distress. After all, the only man capable of getting a job done is a woMAN. She loves her life of independence. But when she is on scene at a mass car pile-up and finds a missing child, a pair of piercing blue eyes changes her world.

Widower, single-dad, Dr. Ryan Montgomery is in over his head. It's been four years since his wife's death and his former mother-in-law refuses to let him move on. When he finally starts dating, an accident makes him realize that dating a cop could put him right back in a world of grief and loss--a place he barely survived the first time around.

Now, two people who are used to saving others are forced to save themselves: one from a lonely future and one from a broken past.

About the Author

Before becoming a romance writer, I was a body double for Heidi Klum and a backup singer for Adele. Now, I spend my days trying to play keep away from Theo James who won't stop calling me and asking me out.

And all of this happens before I wake up and face reality where in fact I'm a 50 something mom with grown kids, I've been married longer than Theo's been alive, and I now get my kicks riding a Harley.
As far as my body, I thank, Ben & Jerry's for that as well as gravity. And I could never be Adele's backup since I never stop saying the F-word long enough actually to sing.

My books are about kickass women with even better shoes and the men that try to tame them (silly silly men).

In all truth, Danielle began her career as a children's author and still continues to flourish in that genre under a different name.

4.5 Star review of Book’em Sadie (Iron Badges#1) by Danielle Norman I was intrigued with these women after reading Badges Prequel which was an introduction to the series. This is Sadie Lazar’s story, a motorcycle deputy and Dr Ryan Montgomery story . I really enjoyed how independent, feisty and determined Sadie is. She knows what she wants and goes after it, needing no man to help her. She is a strong woman and when she meets single dad and widower Ryan at the scene of a horrendous car accident, she feels the spark of attraction igniting. Losing her mother as a young child, Sadie mentors children who have lost parents, something she is particularly good at since she knows from experience the pain and heartache, not to mention loneliness that it causes. Will Sadie be prepared to risk her heart for Ryan and his daughter Callie who is a feisty little girl whom I adored.. The pain and grief that Ryan has been through is palpable whilst reading and the worry he feels falling for someone in law enforcement brings it all to the surface again. Can he take a chance on love? This story certainly had it’s emotional moments and brought out a range of feelings as I felt as though I was riding a roller coaster. I loved the relationships Sadie has with her friends and the support they offer was inspiring. I am really looking forward to seeing where Danielle Norman takes this series.

This was my first Danielle Norman book but won't be my last. I buddy read this book with a friend and we had a great time discussing. Sadie and her group of friends, several who are also deputies, kept us laughing. Great characters! I pre-ordered book 2 as soon as I saw it available and am getting ready to jump in.

Nobody writes a heroine quite like Danielle Norman. Sadie has the sass and the brass to bring a man to his knees. She's one tough cookie and I love that about her. So what happens when this tough as nails deputy risks her her heart on a widower afraid of the damage another loss can do to his already fragile heart? Sparks fly, drama unfolds and heartache ensues. It's a wild ride to forever, but what a way to go.
