This turned out to be more than just a very enjoyable romance novel. Sloan (and his delightful bodyguard/friends) came with a mysterious skeleton in his closet which made for an exciting adventure abroad. Don't want to give too much away. The only thing that bugged me was that both Abbey and Sloan would hear a single sentence uttered by the other, either to themselves or somebody else, get the wrong impression, and run off. BOTTOM LINE - IT'S WORTH A READ!
