Whidbey's biggest slut meets his match! For the better part of a year, all I have been able to talk or think about has been Tom Donelly. Tom "Give Her The D" Donelly. The goofy and sometimes affable man-whore I met back in Ready To Fall. I was excited for his story and championed him hardcore every chance I got. So when it finally came time to read his story I was a little apprehensive. Somewhere between falling in love with him previously and actually getting his story I became disillusioned with over-sexed men. I'm a cyclic reader I guess and at the time I started this I was in a period of being disgusted with men who feel the need to sleep with every woman within a 30 mile radius. You expect it from a man in his teens and twenties but for a man entering his mid 30's it's just pitiful. Don't get me wrong I still love Tom. He's a great guy. Hard working, loves his family very dearly and would do anything for a friend. But he sort of grossed me out with his extra curricular exploits. A particular Christmas day BJ from a strange woman in a Target parking lot just turned my stomach and almost made me put the book down. I guess I'm just the type of person who values sexual intimacy and sharing with just anyone is a turn off for me. I was however able to pull myself out of that mindset and look at Tom for what he was. A lonely man searching desperately for something he knew nothing about. So that's why, when his sisters best friend comes back into the picture I started to fall for him all over again. Hailey King is a special kind of woman.  Not just to be able to overlook his extensive history but because she didn't judge him like I tried not to. She was patient, understanding and kind to him and about him. After breaking things off with her fiance she caves into her desire to finally fulfill a longing she's always had for the Tom Cat. Being as this was mostly about Tom told from his point of view, you got to know her through his eyes. Her artistic soul that called out to his equally artistic side. Her love of his family and how effortless she seemed to fit in. But it was, overall, her personality, her "go with the flow" mentality that inspired him and pulled him into her orbit that really had me loving them both. Hailey challenged him, made him work for her affections and didn't give him an inch to spare and I loved seeing him at the mercy of a woman finally. Instead of being the one in control, Tom had to learn how to be what she needed. It was actually incredibly endearing to watch unfold. They had a very easy flow to their relationship once Tom was able to admit to himself what was happening to him and I really loved seeing how his feelings for Hailey made him think twice about his behavior in the past and how he may have treated women at times. There was a lot to Tom Donelly I didn't know before and I'm glad I got his story because it was a really good one. Granted he may have been the kind of guy I would never even consider anything with, thankfully Hailey had a more forgiving nature. Prescott delivers some heart warming moments and hilarious one liners during a Day In the life of Tom Donelly. If you love seeing a man come to heal at the hands of a great woman then you should give Tom a chance.

I have heard murmurs of Daisy Prescott’s fantastic writing over the past few months, yet I had never had a chance to read her books until this opportunity came along. Needless to say, I purchased every book she has and intend to become a full blown fan girl! Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is a love story that will make you laugh and touch your heart. This story focuses on Tom, the ultimate manwhore, loving his single status and living up his good looks and charms. He is a no strings attached kind of guy and his reputation is one of legend. When a childhood friend of his sister’s comes back to town, Tom is curious and hooked. He seems to have met his match in Hailey. He cannot seem to get enough of her, yet the real question is if he is ready to give up his man-whoring ways for her and turn into a relationship kind of man. There are so many things that are amazing about this book. One of my favorite things it that this story is a real love story. It is genuine and feels like something that could authentically happen to you or someone you know. So often in romance books and love stories today, there is a deep angst or dramatic flair, one that is so over the top it is emotionally draining and unrealistic, but Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat looks at a loves story and gives us a glimpse into a person’s life. There are ups and downs, moments of passion and pleasure, as well as moments of grief and heart ache, but this book is real, a true modern love story! You cannot talk about this book without highlighting the romance between our two main characters. The chemistry between Tom and Hailey is a spark that alters their lives. It starts as a fling but heartstrings become attached and emotions brought to the surface. Their banter is hilarious; I often found myself snorting at their conversations and smiling. They connect and believe in each other.  Hailey sees more to Tom than he ever truly understood about himself. Tom feels a connection that is both terrifying and breathtaking with Hailey. It is a story of two very independent people falling in love, creating a story that will touch your heart. The theme of family and friends is powerful. The family and community in Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is a strong and tightly knit group of people. They look out for their own and protect what is theirs. One of my favorite themes within books is a family and community that is foundational to the character’s life. Tom’s family and friends are essential parts of who he is. Tom would not be who he is without them. The support, love, and at times, reprimands, of family is a deep theme that creates a world that I love! Daisy Prescott is officially on the “authors to watch” radar and I am excited to see what she has for us in the future! Her writing is fresh, deep, emotional, yet uncomplicated. Her stories are of full of life, humor, and the multifaceted pulse of love!

Oh, how the mighty fall. Tom Donnely is a likeable manwhore. He is honest and upfront about it and he doesn’t mess with those who don’t get it. He loves women and sex. He doesn’t get love of the forever kind even after his best bud falls. And then it happens… he breaks the no sex with his sisters friends rule and then he repeats and the he dates and then he falls and it is so much fun along the way. I absolutely adore both Tom and Hailey. I think you will too.

I'm surprised at myself for how much I enjoyed this book. No my normal read. I was very facinated by the "male character only" viewpoint. Very creative and funny.

I really had a blast being in Thomas Clifford Donnely's head. I loved his frankness and sense of humor. Hailey was an excellent match for him, and I enjoyed watching them both fall into each other in spite of their claim of only wanting a casual hit and quit it non-relationship. There were some really cools supporting characters in this installment of Modern Love Stories. I think Tom's paternal grandfather Pops was by far my favorite. He was a wise old dude and funny, too. One of my many favorite moments sums up why I enjoyed this novel's perfect blend of reflection, humor, flirty and sexy moments. “I know myself well enough to know I’d be a disaster at the boyfriend thing.” She studied me, running her index finger along her bottom lip. I squired as her examination continued. “What?” I finally whispered. “Maybe you don’t see yourself as clearly as you think you see others.” “We never do.” I swallowed the last of my water and brushed my hands on my jeans. “So, you want to have sex now?” Coffee sputtered out of her mouth and hit the table. “What? No!” I pressed my lips together. “Didn’t think so, but it was worth the shot.” “Have you not paid attention at all? To anything?” “I’m teasing. Remember? It’s what you and I do. You’ve made it pretty clear sex isn’t going to happen. While I can’t say I’m not bummed, I understand and respect it. Doesn’t mean I won’t still flirt with you. It’s my first language.” This year in the life of one Tom Cat is one that I'll remember very fondly.

When a self-professed Tom Cat meets a feisty Tom Boy, the tiger gets tamed in a sweet and sometimes hilariously painful way. Tom Boy Hailey was familiar to the wayward bachelor and majorly off limits. She was his sister's best friend and he never messed with her friends. Mix Hailey's long legs with the lure of forbidden fruit, and poor Tom couldn't seem to stay away. She challenged him at a time when he started to assess his life and the lack of it having a firm foundation, since he'd only sought curvy, soft ones. I enjoyed Tom's confessional. It's was fun watching him reform. Five Purrfect Stars for Tom Cat.

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat follows the story of Tom and Hailey. Tom is a self proclaimed man whore.  Women are his weakness. He doesn't date or make promises. He's definitely not the marrying kind. Until one night. A one-night stand with his sister's best friend will have him questioning all his rules. Will one night with her be enough? What happens when the tom cat suddenly wants more? Hailey has known Tom for years. She knows the rumors about him and can more than handle his flirtations. When her relationship with her fiancee suddenly ends, she goes running to one the one man she shouldn't. Will she be able to have a "no strings" relationship with this man or will it end up being more than just a one-night stand?  One of the things I love about Daisy Prescott is that her writing is so entertaining. And this book does not disappoint. The writing was smart, witty and funny. I found myself laughing and smiling at just how clueless Tom could be. Being inside his head was really entertaining. He's definitely not afraid to tell things like they are.  I liked seeing that there was more to Tom then just being a player. He cares deeply for his family and friends and can be fiercely protective. Hailey is a breath of fresh air. She's a tomboy, and isn't afraid to hang with the guys, but she also has a very feminine side. She's the perfect match for Tom. She's a strong woman, can hold her own and isn't scared away by Tom's sarcasm or cluelessness. She brings out a side of Tom that no one has seen before. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of the friends to lovers story-line. I really enjoyed watching Tom go from Player to finding himself in his first real relationship. This book was so much fun! I loved the romance and all the funny moments. There was no unnecessary drama. It's just an overall great read! If you're looking for a book with smart and entertaining writing, look no further! * I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I am not sure what cave I have been living in, but Daisy Prescott you are AMAZING!  Daisy Prescott is my new fan-girl crush, and I can't wait to dive into her backlist (turns out I own Geoducks are for Lovers) and gorge on her awesomeness. When I picked up Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat I was hoping this would be good, but this book went beyond good and to one of my favorites of the year! I loved every single thing about this book.  Yep.  Every. Thing.  If you have been reading my reviews for a while you know I can always find something I don't like in a book, (even in my favorite of 5 star reads), but Daisy Prescott nailed it!  Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is an excellent story from start to finish and I am so sad that it I finished this so fast that I have gone back and re-read most of this book again (or maybe some parts 2-3 times).   The characters in this story (I know some of these characters were introduced in Ready to Fall, which I will be reading very soon) are one of the best parts.  I loved every character and their quirks, sassiness and unabashed sense of who they are.  Tom and Hailey are some of the best characters I have read in long while.  These two know who they are, what they want and don't pretend things aren't what they thought they would be.  The emotions that these two go through are a real treat to read and Daisy Prescott did a fantastic job of giving the reader "the fall".  We get to discover this love story along with Tom and Hailey and it was magical.  The cast of secondary characters were amusing and added just the right touch to the story to make you want to go back and read all Daisy's other books just to see if they are in those too. My next favorite thing (besides Tom) was the story told in Tom's POV and the dialogue.  Both the POV from Tom and the witty, fast paced dialogue driven story is full of win for me.  I loved getting into Tom's mind and really seeing what all he is going through with everything that happens to his character during Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat.  Tom was sexy, just the right amount of dirty and easy to fall in love (or lust) with.  His character took charge but kept up a sense of laid back at the same time.   Daisy Prescott has a talent with dialogue, the conversations felt like real actual people were talking to you instead of reading words on a page.  The connection the reader gets with Tom is special, letting you enjoy the ride without fear of the "big drama" lurking around the corner.   Are you ready to read Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat yet?  You should be!  If you love romance, humor and great characters, then this book is for you.  If you, like me, have never read a Daisy Prescott book I can't recommend this enough!  Fans of Daisy Prescott (are probably already reading this book and smirking at us idiots that haven't) are going to love this next book because they know that Daisy's books are full of win.  If you do nothing else this week, buy yourself this book!  You deserve to read a book this good!!  1-click and enjoy!

Funny, sexy, and sweet. Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is the total package! This is the story about how I lost my wingman, broke all my own rules, and found myself falling in love. Thomas Clifford Donnely is a confirmed bachelor. He’s an equal opportunist when it comes to women. He doesn’t want just one and he loves them all. He’s a natural charmer and flirt and he makes no apologies. You have to appreciate a man who is honest and upfront about what he wants. He doesn’t lead women on and they all know what they’re getting into. They know that they can count on him for a good time and shouldn’t have hopes for anything beyond that. In short, I love Tom. He’s funny and a genuinely good guy. He loves his family, he works hard, he’s honest and real. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a story about the ultimate bachelor falling in love? He’s George Clooney if he were a bit younger, wore flannel, and knew how to work his wood. Actual wood… like with a chainsaw. And the other kind, too. Every woman wants to be the one to tame the Tom Cat. And witnessing Hailey be the to do that that is so much fun! I love her character. She doesn’t take any lip, especially from Tom, and she holds her own. She’s independent and sassy and smart and absolutely perfect for him. I loved their chemistry. Their playful banter and witty exchanges kept a goofy smile plastered on my face and made me laugh out loud more than a few times.  Daisy Prescott always has such well-developed characters. They have so much substance. They aren’t Hollywood perfect (which I think makes them even more perfect), they don’t lead glamorous lives, they are real. It always feels like I’m falling in love with real people. Her books are like coming home. They feel so warm and inviting and I feel like they’re my own friends. Every time I read a book, she surprises me by yet again creating these characters that I completely fall in love with. Having said that, John Day from Ready to Fall (who makes many appearances throughout this book) has always been my favorite. John just has that something and he couldn’t be topped. Until now. Okay, so maybe not topped. It’s hard to definitively say since it’s been a year since I read John’s book but I think it’s safe to say that I loved Tom just as much. That, my friends, is saying a lot! Read this book, people! While it can most definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading all of Daisy’s books. They’re fantastic and character-driven and absolutely wonderful (and sexy!). But trust me, you have to meet Tom! You have to witness the Tom Cat be domesticated!

I do not understand why this book got so many good reviews. It was not even good, too slow and boring. And there was nothing special about Hailey. She seemed more like a dude than a female, so not sexy! And there was nothing sexy about Tom either. He was a jerk, and kind of stupid. Both characters were boring and dumb. I did not feel the chemistry between them. No i do not recommend. Im sorry i wasted my own time on this stupid book. Must be paid reviews.
