I have the companion book to this one, the Cross Country skiing book. I have read and enjoyed both. The latter was used as a textbook for a survival school I attended here in Alaska, so I had to purchase this one as well. Chock full of usefull information, illustrations are humurous yet relevant, and the material is an easy read. It will go in my backpack whenever I go hiking.
