Overview

Our country has changed. Our founding principles are being over-written with a post-modern perspective. A world view where truth is no longer objective, but subjective. Man defining his own truth. This view is taught to our children. We hear it from our politicians in both parties. It is espoused and supported by our media and academics.

The attempts to erase history by removing statues, culminating with the recent violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, are a result of that shift. Today's interfaith movement and events grow out of this new world order, but its source is far from new. Its root lies with the same pagan views as the Greek philosophers.

We all share the same nature, and so are called to love and care for each other. Can we do this today without compromising our principles? Several interfaith events were held in Richmond. While their purpose was developing an understanding of Islam, in some respects the topic is irrelavent. How should Christians respond to this change? How do we remain in society whithout losing our faith?

About the Author

Dan Wolf learned traditional values from the farm and as a grocer in Middle America-and always loved history. A CPA, researcher, an analyst who taught himself computer programming, and an experienced consultant teaching complex abstract ideas so they are understood.

Like many of us, Dan's life changed on 9/11. His penchant for self-education put him on a path discerning the relationship between faith and governance. What he found is this. Faith, freedom, virtue, and morality provide our purpose's cornerstones; the foundation for every successful society. There is no freedom without faith, faith expressing itself in love-charity. The relationship between these ideas is the heart of Dan's work. The ideas are not new, they've existed for several thousand years. They are forgotten because we no longer educate using the languages of both reason and faith.

Dan is writing his fifth book regarding these ideas. He is a regular contributor to the Virginia Christian Alliance-an organization presenting Biblical responses to today's issues not with hate or empty headed talking points, but using facts and humor. You can find more about his work and blog at Living Rightly.
