Having read Sunkissed Days, I could not wait to dive in and see what was happening in Magnolia Sound and how Samantha Chase would conclude the story of Mallory Westbrook and Jake Summerford. Remind Me was the perfect way to conclude their story, although be warned I shed quite a few tears as this story was at times rather emotional. When tragedy strikes and Mallory returns to Magnolia Sound, she knows that she will come face to face with the love of her life, the man who broke her heart. There were times that my heart just about broke for Mallory and Jake as they tried to work through their grief. It is obvious to all around them that Jake and Mallory have unresolved feelings. The question is will they take the leap and act on them, or will fear ruin their chance at happiness? There was drama, spice, romance, love and the secondary characters were just as interesting as Jake and Mallory. I cannot wait to read the next book in the Magnolia Sound series.

This new series is shaping up to be better than all the rest of Ms Chase’s series. The book starts out with a hurricane and the hurricane’s effects last throughout. Mallory and Jake have a past. One that didn’t end well. This is their chance to mend everything. Or have closure at least. I loved how these characters were written. Mallory is at a point in her life where she must choose between what she loves and what she thinks she loves. Jake is at a point where he must step up and be the person he was always meant to be. Will they be what each other needs in the long term?

I received a copy for review purposes. Sunkissed Days was our introduction to Mallory, Jake, and Magnolia sound and Remind me is their reintroduction a year later. I love Samantha's writing and I am so happy to get a new series and an entire new set of characters. As I read her stories I fall into the worlds that she creates and the characters become like friends and family in my head. Mallory, Jake, and the rest of the Magnolia Sound characters are quickly becoming part of me. I enjoyed the story and you should grab it and start your introduction to the series and Magnolia Sound.

I devoured this book. These characters are sweet, real, and heartbroken. Years ago Jake and Mallory fell in love during a summertime romance and their hearts have never been the same. They parted ways, not on the best of terms. A storm is set to hit Magnolia Sound, the place of summer love, and her great-grandfather dies forcing her to return to the place where she met her first love. This book is a second chance romance book. I had read the book before this one and knew what the characters had gone through to get where they were in their current lives. The best thing is that the first book didn’t have to be read to know these characters. Samantha tells their story perfectly. She lets the readers in on what they had to give up to get where they were in life. She didn’t give them perfect lives but she gave them both lives that they had to work to achieve. They both knew they were missing something important and there was no doubt what it was. I love how Jake was pushy. He didn’t let Mallory put him off, he didn’t let it be a week long fling, and he didn’t accept that she could go back to New York and live her life being happy without him. Yet, he let her find her way. He accepted that she had to make her own decisions he just helped her to make the decisions that led to the two of them coming together. I also loved how Mallory was careful. Her heart was broken the first time they came together and she had to do what she could to protect it this time.

What a fantastic start to this amazing new series by Samantha Chase! I love a reunited love story, and this is one of my top faves. Jake was the perfect hero. A bit bad boy, a bit sweetheart, and completely sexy. He has this internal battle throughout the story, of wanting to make it on his own, and doesn’t realize that some gifts aren’t saying that he can’t make it, but that he can make said gift so much better. Mallory is perfect for Jake. She brings out his romantic side, and brings out all the sexiness. She’s fighting her own internal battles, and can’t decide whether to follow her heart. These two will definitely have you falling in love. The secondary characters are more than entertaining, and I can’t wait to see whose story we might get next (Mason or Sam would be the top of my list, but I’m not gonna be picky) A phenomenal must read that I would highly recommend!

Remind Me is such a great second chance for Mallory and Jake, and I love a good second chance romance. We met Jake and Mallory in Sunkissed Days and while you don't have to read that first, it is a great way to start getting to know them. I can't wait to see what's next in Magnolia Sound!

Mallory is back in Magnolia sound for her great grandfathers funeral and to get his affairs in order, and she knows this time around ignoring Jake is not going to be easy. Jake has not gotten over Mallory and always regretted the way things ended between him and Mallory 6 years ago. Now that she’s back in town, he hopes for a second chance with her. Remind me is a beautiful read. It is a heartbreaking and at the same time a heartwarming story. The grief at losing Zeke was so palpable, it made me teary eyed. And at the same time the romance between Jake and Mallory got a smile to my face. Can’t wait to read more in the series.

I love second chance romances especially for Jake and Mallory when theirs ended the way it did. They get a second change in Remind Me when Mallory is brought back to Magnolia Sound due to family heartbreak. It is amazing just how well her grandfather knew each member of his family, extended family. There were parts in this book that I had tears running down my face. Family dynamics can be so much fun and Samantha did a great job writing the trickiness of them. Jake is taking this opportunity to prove to Mallory that they are meant to be even if they have to have a long distance relationship. Now Mallory has to decide if she has room if her life for both a career and a relationship.

I love Samantha Chase's books! In Remind Me, Mallory and Jake have not seen each other in 6 years. Not since he broke her heart. Now that she has returned to town because of her great grandfather's death, and they find themselves face to face, will old wounds heal and the love that still remains have a chance to blossom again? I loved reading their story!

Fast forward six years from a magical summer in Sun Kissed Days and Mallory has returned to Magnolia Sound for the burial of her beloved great grandfather. Of course she runs into her fling from the summer, Jake. They soon reconnect and their love for each other has only grown through the years. This story is full of emotions, yes I did shed a tear or two, but I also was swooning over Jake many times with a smile on my face. Great sexual chemistry between Mallory and Jake. I am loving this family and can't wait to read more. I highly recommend.

Loved this story!! Seriously great way to get this new series started. The characters are amazing and the way Ms. Chase describes the town of Magnolia Sound makes you want to live there. Can't wait for more in this series!

Jake and Mallory’s emotional love story continued in Remind Me, book one in Samantha Chase’s Magnolia Sound series. We met Mallory and Jake and their ill-fated romance in the prequel Sunkissed Days. Remind Me is a standalone story and all relevant information is provided. Mallory is living in New York consumed with work and a recent promotion when she learns her great-grandfather Zeke passes away. Given two weeks to get his affairs in order before returning to New York, the perfect plan until Mallory ends up reconnecting with Zeke’s next-door neighbor, Jake, her first love who broke her heart and set the bar for any other guy entering her life. Jake regretted the way things ended with Mallory but with her return, albeit short, maybe they can put the past hurts behind and start over again, even as friends. However, as the two spend time together both realize they want more than just being friends; a rekindling of the love they once had, now that they are both older and mature. Hopefully, this new love will refocus Mallory on what she truly wants in life and a future for them. Maybe New York isn’t really home for her. Maybe it’s actually Magnolia Sound and Jake. Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Mallory and Jake the love and future together, that they always wanted. I highly recommend Remind Me to other readers and can't wait to read more about this family from Magnolia Sound and see what else is in store for us readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

4.25stars--REMIND ME is the first full-length instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult MAGNOLIA SOUND romance series focusing on the Westbrook family. This is thirty-year old, contractor and architectural designer Jake Summerford, and twenty-four year old IT specialist Mallory Westbrook. NOTE: For the backstory to Jake and Mallory’s story I recommend reading the series prequel SUNKISSED DAYS Told from dual third person perspectives (Jake and Mallory) REMIND ME picks up six years after the events of SUNKISSED DAYS where in Jake and Mallory’s summer romance implodes leaving a heart broken Mallory in its’ wake. Fast forward to present day wherein Mallory returns to Magnolia Sound to bury her beloved great-grandfather, a man who saw much more than anyone could have imagined. Rekindling their relationship, Mallory and Jake have yet to come to terms with what happened or why. The reading of the will sheds a spotlight on the past, present and future including the possibility of Mallory returning to Magnolia Sound-for good. The relationship between Jake and Mallory is one of second chances; a rekindling romance with the potential for something more but also the possibility of an expiry date as Mallory’s time in Magnolia Sound comes to a close. Mallory struggles with the memories of what was, and issues of trust as they pertain to the man she once loved: her immature attitude left something to be desire. Jake is willing to grovel to ensure Mallory knows she means everything and more. The $ex scenes are mostly implied. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including all of the members of the immediate and extended Westbrook family. The reading of Zeke Westbrook’s will let’s everyone know the old man’s plans for the future. REMIND ME is a story of family, friendships, life and death, second chances and falling in love. The premise is delightful and revealing; the characters are sassy and animated; the romance is passionate. REMIND ME is an encouraging and heart warming look as one family comes to terms with love and loss.

This was just such an amazing story, I felt blown away. Emotional, poignant heartwarming, as well as sizzling chemistry and heat. Honestly I can’t say enough good things. My emotions ranged from sobbing, tears to bursting with happiness. I couldn’t put this down, and even after finishing reading it, it has stayed in my heart. Jake and Mallory’s second chance romance, was wonderful and I think it might be my favorite. And a Fantastic start to a new series. It has been six years, since their summer romance ended badly, and they went their separate ways. Their timing hadn’t been right for either of them. So when tragedy and devastation comes to Magnolia Sound, throwing Jake and Mallory together once again, he was going to do everything he could to remind her how well they worked and that she was everything he wanted. But will Mallory give Jake what he wants? Is it everything she wants? You have got to read this to find out! This story is Phenomenal! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When we last saw Jake & Mallory at the end of Sunkissed Days, their summer of love, things were not looking so good for the fate of their relationship. But leave it to Samantha Chase to come back with a beautiful story of how things go after that. There are ups and downs and highs and lows but mainly there is love, and a boathouse full of it. The years may have passed but their love never did. I enjoyed Jake and Mallory's story so very much!! This wonderful story unleashed a hurricane of emotions but each and every one was worth it to get to their HEA.

Stop! Make sure you read Sunkissed Days first, you will not be disappointed as it is really the prequel to this one and you will not be disappointed. Jake and Mallory had a hot and heavy fling six years ago and it did not end well. Now Mallory is working in New York and just been promoted when a hurricane is barreling towards Magnolia Sound and her mother calls to tell her Pops will not evacuate. Mallory is panicking and ends up calling Jake and pleading with him to get Zeke to go or stay with him and he ends up staying with him. Good thing since it is Zeke's last days and he knows and this is why he wouldn't go. Coming back to Magnolia Sound for the funeral is devastating for Mallory but coming face to face with Jake was somehow healing. They come together and find a peace together but will they be able to make it work this time? Zeke (Pops) was a sly one and had surprises in his will for everyone and some make sense and some will probably make sense in the books to come in the series. We did better acquainted with the rest of the family and there looks to be some crazy times coming in the future! What is good to know is there is a happy ending here and it was so much fun to watch it happen. I cannot wait to go back to Magnolia Sound for more visits in the future! **Received this ARC for review**

Great story to the beginning of a series. Very dramatic at the beginning and heartbreaking but it soon turns around and you have another great love story by Samantha Chase.

This is an incredible new series by Samantha Chase entitled Magnolia Sound. It is set in a small North Carolina coastal town and this is the very first introduction to several characters I’m sure we will see with their own stories. This is the story of Mallory and Jake. Mallory has been in love with Jake for years, from the time she was a young girl spending the summers with her Pops in Magnolia Sound. Jake was the older boy next door who always saw her as his friends little sister. The summer of awakening was told in Sunkissed Days. So if you want to read the back story, it is awesome. But you can start with Remind Me and be caught up. Samantha Chase has always given us not just stories but lives. She writes families and towns and relationships, not just for today but from the past and into the future. She makes sure to let us know how normal the characters are, all of the problems they come across but always lets us see their HEA. Get started at the beginning and enjoy this new world she is opening for us…

A lesson in learning sparks a love that's enduring. Sunkissed Days was the start of something special. Remind Me is the continuation of a love story that never had the chance to begin. Mallory and Jake were a childhood crush interrupted. Life got in the way, choices broke their hearts. When life brings then full circle, can young love rebuild adult hearts? Chase mesmerizes the heart and mind with a heartwarming combination of life, love and friendship. Remind Me is a stunning new beginning for an old heartache.

Remind Me is the phenomenal beginning to Samantha Chase’s newest series Magnolia Sound. Although, we did have a sneak peak into this series with Sunkissed Days which released last month, it just whetted my need for more, and Remind me… just wow!!! Remind me is my favorite kind of romance, emotional. Get your tissues ready, Ladies, and not just one, the whole freaking box, you will need them, from the very beginning, to the very end!!! And, no they were not all sad tears, but happy tears as well. There are certainly laugh out loud moments as well. The characters are all well developed, and I can already tell who my favorites will be, as well as the ones I will probably really dislike (the entitled b…witch)! I floved Jake and Mallory’s story, it is a second chance at love romance. We saw the beginning of their romance in Sunkissed Days, and yes, you really should read it first, because it will give you more of insight of why things happened the way they do in this book. This book also shows us that real feeling for another person never die, and will rekindle if given half a chance. In my most humble opinion, Samantha Chase has most definitely continued her wonderful story writing craft with Remind Me and I cannot wait to read about the rest of the family. Thank you for reading my review. Go ahead, hit that purchase button at your favorite retailer, you will not be disappointed!!
