Oh my heart! Daniel, the Dogfather, has successfully managed to settle all six of his children into relationships and now it is his turn for a little romance in his life. Reluctant though he is, it happens anyway in the sweetest and most special way. I'm not going to give anything away because I want you to read this one! This could be read as a standalone but DON'T! Read the entire series! I recommend it and you will not be disappointed. Start at the beginning and binge your way through. You will not only find your happy place, you will be satisfied and your heart will be ever better off :) Rocki has promised this is not the end of the Kilcannon's as this is a big and extended family and there are cousins galore who need lovin' so we can only hope there are more around the corner! If you haven't figured it out by now, I highly recommend this one along with the rest of the series! **Received this ARC for review**

After reading the series I didn't know if I really wanted to read Daniel's story. But was I wrong!! This book is great!. I didn't know how Daniel was going to find a new love but he found an 'old' one. I should never have doubted the author. I was ugly crying while reading. Love a book that makes me cry.

Fall in love with the Dogfather and his family again. Lots of love, laughter and tears. What an amazing writer.

In classic Roxanne St. Claire fashion, Old Dog New Tricks is an emotional tilt-a-whirl from page one. Tissues are a necessity as there are many tears as Daniel works towards his second HEA. Longtime readers will appreciate the Kilcannon’s banding together to make things right. St. Claire is one of my go-to authors and this is no exception. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

The Dogfather and match maker of love, Daniel Kilcannon, finally gets his own love story. I have basically waited for the Dog-father's love story to be told since the beginning. The writing was on the walls, the possible love interest were piling up book after book and the excitement of waiting for it to be told was building stronger. I wasn't sure who was going to be the woman to win Daniel's heart but I never would have guessed correctly. This story had me in tears more then any book I've read, but also had me cracking up and really feeling like part of this crazy loving family. I so can't wait to read what Roxanne St. Claire will dream up to write about all the remaining and new family members in books to come.

I never saw that coming at all but it was perfect. It comes full circle but with a major twist. I read it from start to finish I couldn’t wait to read the next page. Another great book and story. I so can not wait for Cassie’s and Braden’s story.

An awesome read. Daniel, aka The Dogfather has been busy matchmaking his children and now it is his turn. A second chance romance between Daniel and Katie, a short lived college romance. Both had wonderful marriages and suffered the loss of a spouse. Will they be able to open their hearts again? This is an awesome read full of emotion, many happy and sad tears were shed. With a plot twist it will keep you turning the pages. Loved the romance between Rusty and Goldie, they were perfect for each other. Can't wait to read the next book!! This was my favorite book of the series. I highly recommend this book along with the rest of the series.

Another fantastic Dogfather book! Every time I think the last book in this series was my favorite, a new one is added to the series by the phenomenal author, Roxanne St. Claire. This book has everything, it made me laugh, it made me cry. Loved the new characters! I could not put the book down, had to force myself so I could go to sleep. Interesting to read how loss is handled differently by all of us. Loved the introduction of the new family, the Santorinis, can't wait for their books. Roxie, you outdid yourself!!!

Wow! This is one of the best books that I have ever read by Roxanne St. Claire! I have especially loved this Dogfather series not only because each story is so amazing but because they each feature a lovable canine. As a dog lover, it is definitely a bonus. I have watched as Dr. K. has orchestrated love matches for all his children. Now, it is his turn to find his HEA. I loved every single thing about this book. The story of Daniel and Katie just grabbed me and wouldn't let go. It is such a beautiful and amazing romance. I don't want to give away anything and ruin this book for any other reader so I will just say it is a totally big 2 thumbs up. I really think the series should be read in order because you really get to know each character and fall in love with this wonderful family.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of Old Dog New Tricks for an honest review. I honestly loved this book! I am not sure how Roxanne St. Claire continues to deliver such amazing stories, but she has outdone herself with Old Dog New Tricks. Each book in the series gets better and better. Old Dog New Tricks is Daniel Kilcannon's story, the Dogfather himself. I am so glad that Daniel got his own story and a chance at another happily ever after. There were so many potential woman introduced in the previous Dogfather books, and each of his children was rallying for his or her favorite. None of those women was a perfect match for the Dogfather. Katie Rogers Santorini is a woman from Daniel's past, whose own husband Nico died two years ago after a long battle with cancer. Katie has 5 children of her own, obviously more candidates for the Dogfather's matchmaking abilities. Katie returns to Bitter Bark with a secret of her own. She has not been back to Bitter Bark since she left Vestal Valley College in 1976 to return home to Chestnut Creek and her one great love, Nico. Katie's secret was discovered when her children agreed to what they thought was harmless DNA testing the prior Thanksgiving. The results of those test are life changing for both the Kilcannon and Santorini families. Daniel makes changes to his home to make room for Katie. But can he break the vow he made to himself, to never love again. This book is filled with so many touching and poignant moments, as both Katie and Daniel reminisce about their marriages. Of course there is a dog in the book. She’s a lovely red golden retriever, named Goldie that Rusty becomes attached to. They have their own story within a story. Roxanne once again includes her plot twist that is a deal breaker. Love her plot twists as much as I love her happily ever afters! Love getting caught up with the Kilcannons. Make sure you have your Kleenex ready, lots of tears were shed while I was reading Old Dog New Tricks. Highly recommend. Cannot wait for see how the Dogfather will work his matchmaking magic with the Mahoneys and Santorinis.

I cried for loves lost. I cried for love found and sighed. I cried for both wonderful families. I cried for Rusty – big river tears. I cried for the uncertainty and turmoil that all went through. I cried for sweet Goldie. I laughed out loud and scared my dogs. My favorite quote, “I think we’ve been dogfathered!” This was a much anticipated story and Rocki did a wonderful job. It was perfect!! Now to restock my tissues for the next one.

We've all been waiting for the time when Daniel, aka "The Dogfather", would get a second chance as love after matching all of his children with their loves. Yea, the time has come! The Kilcannon's are great people with deep, deep love for each other and for their four legged friends. Daniel promised himself as his wife lay dying that he would never, ever love another woman. The appearance of a woman from his past challenges that promise. He must struggle with himself to see if he should have sworn that to start with. Is it what his beloved Annie would have wanted for him? What of his children? Would he be doing a disservice to them to get involved with another woman? His old friend, Katie, is not making it easy on him. Will his desire to love and to make love to her win the day? Katie sure hopes so! They share a secret that must come out. Will it destroy both of their families? This book is filled with family issues, good and bad. There is drama galore, love, forgiveness and the eventual acceptance of circumstances that can't be changed. This is a wonderful addition to the series!

I just love this series and I am so glad that Daniel got his story. Daniel has helped his children get their HEA and now they want to help him. He thinks there can only be one love and he had that with Annie. But, there is someone who makes him question that. Katie is an old friend and she had a wonderful marriage to a wonderful man and isn't sure she will love again. But seeing Daniel after all these years, she thinks she might be ready after all. The problem is, she has a secret that could tear apart both of their families.

Old Dog New Tricks is a great second chance romance. That second chance shows up forty years after they first met with a completely unexpected surprise. Daniel and Katie had met in college, and while they had been attracted to one another she found herself pining for the love she’d left behind at her parents’ insistence, and Daniel found himself inordinately attracted to Anne, a friend of Katie’s they were trying to set up on a blind date. Forty years ago, everything had worked out wonderfully because Daniel helped reunite Katie with the boyfriend her parents didn’t approve of and Anne turned out to be Daniel’s soulmate. Flash forward, Katie shows up in Bitter Bark. What ensues is a heart warming and potentially heart breaking reunion full of surprises, memories and love. This is not a story of the youthful passion of young love, but instead explores the deeper connection of two people who had found the love of their lives and perhaps have a second chance at finding another connection. There’s even a doggie “romance” between two older pups, one who has lost her furever companion and can’t seem to find any joy until she meets Rusty. Of course in addition to the relationship between Daniel and Katie, there is a whole other connection between their two families. Looks like the Dogfather might have the opportunity for more matchmaking in the future.

I can’t say enough about this book, I just love this whole series with all my heart. “Old Dog” was probably one of the most anticipated books for me. I must admit I wanted Daniel for myself …. But since that’s not quite possible, being as he’s fictional ... I’m really glad how it turned out. I love this family, and this series of books so much. You MUST read this series!! “Old Dog” has all the fun, and adventures of all the other Dogfather books, with heartwarming tears, and the revisiting of old friends and pups from the other books. I was literally on the edge of my seat and couldn’t stop reading. So …. Um, Where can I buy a ticket to Bitter (Better) Bark? Looking forward to MANY new Dogfather books!!
