One Rainy Season in Yunnan: The Path Past Pomasha, is the story of a young American who joins world-renowned Pu'er tea expert, Robert Painter, on a journey to a famous tea mountain in rural Yunnan. About the Author

Brian Herman lived in Yunnan for five years, splitting his time between Yuxi and Xishuangbanna. From 2006-2011, he studied Mandarin Chinese and taught English at Yuxi Normal University. Today Brian lives just outside Santa Cruz, California, where he maintains a modest personal collection of old tree Pu'er tea.
