During Boomer's journey, humor ensues as Boomer deals with one catastrophe after another, only to find a helpless feline friend who changes his fate forever. By rescuing the lost kitten, Boomer discovers his forever family and his special purpose in life. This is an adorable portrait of a young service dog seeking friendship and love as he learns about the challenges that come with being a service animal. This book demonstrates how service dogs provide important services for special needs individuals, and how therapy dogs provide comfort and love. An appendix of information at the end of the book with the author notes is included, as well as curriculum guides to help educate young readers on the importance of service dogs.
