Lanie is ready for a quiet, peaceful Christmas break but after a stormy, restless night, Lanie wakes to a strange crater in her yard. Bootprints in the snow lead away into the forest. Curiosity and concern compel her to follow the unknown deep into the woods. There she finds a boy in an ill-fitting Santa suit with an amazing tale about a lost day, sabotage, and his missing sleigh.
