Great thriller, rich and fascinating characters – so much packed into a 200-page book! Border Line grabbed me right from the beginning and the pace never let up throughout the book. While Gia was out with her boyfriend, James, a young Guatemalan immigrant, 7-year old Rosalie, was literally dumped into their lives. Suddenly caregivers, the two of them try to piece together the circumstances that occurred in the life of this child to put her in this predicament. A rich story is woven that includes corrupt police and ICE agents, Gia’s distant aunt and drug lords in the Mexican cartel who will stop at nothing to get what they want. In true Gia fashion, she takes on whatever comes her way to protect those she loves. The action is non-stop and gradually Gia and James uncover the illicit plan that brought poor Rosalie into this country and into their lives.

A Gripping, Mesmerizing Thriller! On the border, an immigration detention camp, a young girl and her twin brother, and a mysterious woman. And so it begins, the latest adventure of Gia Santella. Kristi Belcamino has done it again, bringing readers another mesmerizing saga of Gia Santella and her quest for truth, justice, and the Italian way. Gia is a tough-as-nails, sexy, free spirited woman, with a heart of gold and a solid sense of loyalty. In this eighth book of the series, Gia confronts a disturbing contemporary issue in her own Gia style, with very surprising results that could dramatically change the rest of her life. Filled with intrigue, suspense, and action, this book grabs you and doesn’t let go. The author’s attention to detail and colorful characters support the riveting story line very well, making for a very compelling read. In short, I loved reading this book and once started, it was captivating. I highly recommend starting with the first book in the series and reading the books sequentially for the best reading experience, although Belamino has written each book such that it can be read as a standalone without any loss of enjoyment. Very well done!

This is another adventure in the life of Gia Santella. A young girl, Rosalie, is brought to Gia to watch over. Rosalie is someone a human trafficking organization is pursuing. This is another page turner and thriller you will not want to put down.

The 8th installment in the Gia Santella series weaves a story that intrigues the reader and pulls them into the crime world of a Mexican cartel and exploitation of immigrants. One is pulled into Gia’s life and the evolution of her relationship with James as he continues to investigate corruption in the police force and Gia dives head first into solving the mystery behind a young girl her aunt leaves in her care. A story of exploitation, human trafficking and the take down of criminal forces. Gia never disappoints in her role as our heroine and protector of the innocent. Kristi Belcamino is a master at character development. She has a way of creating strong female characters and a posse of supporting characters that lead toward an intriguing and suspenseful plot. I am always left wanting more; to know what happens next, and where Gia’s adventures will take her.

What a great read Border Line is and quite the ride! Action-packed, well-paced, I just loved it! While it’s a work of fiction, the subject is much too real. The author touches this subject with a blend of "in your face" and beautiful dignity. I just adore Gia and the way she protects those she loves.

Border Line is simply riveting. Gia and James are back for a new adventure, and Gia is still fighting for justice in her own stubborn way. We also see a new side of Gia. Kristi Belcamino’s action scenes kept me glued to this book. I read Border Line in two days! I’ve enjoyed this entire series and look forward to see what Gia and James are up to next.

BORDER LINE .....Kristi Belcamino Customs guard stopping Gia and James, we saw you pick up a child, wanting to speak with her. Our daughter Maggie, hoping the child, would not speak, when she asked " mommy wants going on", hitting the gas and crossing. Gia and James tell her they will find her mother and return her. No, mommy said for me to live with you and James. A woman in black told her mother. Gia knew who that woman was. Guatemala the terror that happens to the whole family. Grandmother paid a coyote to take them to American. Instead someone paid for this girl, a special order, and the coyote messed up and would be punished. James, Gia’s mate understands Gia, she is beautiful and wild. He will be beside what ever she does. Readers will be astonished by the depth of this plot, the cartel, drugs, workers for farms. This goes beyond, what was special about this girl. Meeting Gia Aunt, they are the only relatives, her job is to protect Gia. She is even more ruthless and dangerous, if that is possible the Gia. Great story. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

WOW what a book! lots of action and suspense. The characters are very complex and this storyline is very intense. Kristi Belcamino took on a subject that is very controversial and gave a good view of both sides of the picture. I love how you can feel you are in this story, actually know the characters. I especially loved the ending. A must read!!!

This is a great read! Gia and James have been adjusting to the changes in their lives after James' injury, when Gia is thrown into a situation she never expected - looking after a young girl. Gia is determined to find out what happened to the girl's mother, and why men are trying so hard to take her. I really enjoyed reading this one. We get both sides of the story - Gia's, and the bad guy's - which is always fun to read, and Gia is her usual kickass self!
