Josiah: I survived the Civil War only to be murdered thirty-eight years later. Too angry and too bitter to move on, I haunted the land where my blood was shed. I found no peace until Matson Ashby came into my life. I watched him grow into adulthood, never imagining how sexy he'd become. Now I want him for my own, but I'm a ghost, and he's human.

Matson: I was born and raised in rural Prenter's Bottom, North Carolina, on the land my family farmed for more than a hundred years. Being gay in my little town? Well, let's just say it's not been easy. When I inherit my grandmother's estate, I must decide whether to sell or stay where I'm not welcome. The problem is compounded by the ghost of a murdered man who tugs at my heartstrings. Is he real, or just a figment of my imagination?

About the Author

My vivid imagination combined with my love of reading and sci-fi, so as a kid, I spent hours writing stories and poems while listening to my large collection of actual, vinyl record albums.

At eighteen, I married a man I met in college and traveled up and down the East Coast as a Navy wife. Before it ended, our marriage produced two wonderful boys. After moving back to West Virginia, I graduated from beauty college and began a twenty-year career in the beauty industry. While teaching at my alma mater, I made friends with a fellow instructor who introduced me to her brother, and I’ve been happily married to him for over a decade. With my husband’s love and support, I’ve been able to achieve my dream of becoming an author.

My goal as an author is to tell stories that help others find enjoyment or escape life for a little while. I want the characters in my head to become as real to the reader as they are to me, and I hope they find another heart to settle into. I also want to interact with the people who read my books, because you never know where your next friend will come from.
