“Unapologetically raw and deliciously filthy, Shepherd & Claire's dark, gritty story is an emotional punch to the gut!” - Anna Zaires, New York Times bestselling author

Every bit as ruthless as his reputation suggests…

Shepherd ravages both Claire and her conquered city, refusing to let either slip through his fingers.

He steals Claire's innocence and future by forcing a pair-bond on the rare, unwilling Omega female.

Violent, calculating, and incapable of remorse, he demands his new mate's adoration. Her attention. Her body.

Publisher's Note: The first book in Addison Cain's exciting, raw, and suspense-filled Omegaverse series is a Dark Romance featuring complete power exchange. If such material offends you, please do not purchase.

About the Author

USA TODAY bestselling author and Amazon Top 25 bestselling author, Addison Cain is best known for her dark romances, smoldering Omegaverse, and twisted alien worlds. Her antiheroes are not always redeemable, her lead females stand fierce, and nothing is ever as it seems.

Deep and sometimes heart wrenching, her books are not for the faint of heart. But they are just right for those who enjoy unapologetic bad boys, aggressive alphas, and a hint of violence in a kiss.

Interesting story and premise

I usually like "odd" stories, but this too odd for even me. If you're looking for something completely off-the-wall, this is it. Just be aware that it has a cliffhanger. Based on the descriptions of the other books in this series, I don't see it getting any better.

Very strange, futuristic book. Even though Addison Cain developed her characters so well you could practically see them, the subplot of sex, sex and more sex was a little much.

Dark story line altho its written well ,good characters ,cover was nicely done , but as assualt victim this wasn't a good choice for me.... but the scenes were good and you felt like you were right there where the main character was......vw

It's crazy, but I couldn't put it down. I just never knew what was going to happen from one chapter to the next... I kept hoping Shepherd would redeem himself...Gonna have to buy the next book for sure!

4 “Bound” Stars! Intense, Dark and AMAZING! So ... that was different. And in a good way. This was my first Omegaverse book. I’ve read plenty of paranormal and sci-fi books, but nothing really like this. I loved the dome setting, the war-torn atmosphere the author creates and the story itself. I love dark, intense reads and this had some of my favorite things in it. BUT WARNING... Though I personally loved the dark elements in this book, it won’t be too everyone’s liking. There is complete power exchange (YAY!), enforced captivity (Holla!), vivid sexual encounters (YUMZ!), semi-noncon (gulp!), a possessive, alpha anti-hero who is down right scary (who doesn’t love those?), and cheating (grrr!). I HATE cheaters. I don’t like reading books that use it to create more drama, especially when there’s already so much. And had I known this book included that in it, I wouldn’t have even picked it up. But not knowing that going in, I’m glad I read to the end because it’s obvious Shepherd is unlike your traditional anti-hero with a heart of gold. I don’t think he has a vein of gold anywhere in him. He’s monstrous, indifferent, unbending, and dominant to the point of pushing himself on the heroine and what he does definitely classifies as rape in the human world, but this isn’t a traditional, human’s only world. Shepherd thinks the Omegas are supposed to act and behave a certain way and when Claire doesn’t, he’s confused and tries to bring her to heel the only way he knows how. His upbringing wasn’t like those above ground. He’s lived life barely surviving and his set of rules are very different than her set of rules. Does it make some of the things he did right? Hell no. Is he on my top list of book boyfriends? Not a chance! But I still liked his dynamic with Claire and I still very much enjoyed the story and where it is headed. Born to be Bound was different, exciting and intense and the setting was very imaginative. The romance was not really a romance but more of a pull-pull and that was a great switch up from my normal reading. The book was well written and very creative and I enjoyed it a lot! ANOTHER WARNING... This story ends on a pretty heavy cliffhanger. Thankfully the second book is already out and I can continue on. Cheating aside, I will definitely be moving on to the next book. I need to know what happens next. I’ll definitely be going on to book two!

The story pulls you in and won't let go! This is not your typical romance and I appreciate the depth of the characters she is building! It is dark and sexual, but this story would not be what is without both elements. Not for the faint of heart.

Wow! So much suspense and drama. That doesn’t even include the relationship dynamic between Shepherd and Claire, it is so hard to decide how I feel about him. Yes at times he was cruel to Claire, however it seemed to be for her own protection and he didn’t seem to feel it necessary to explain his actions. Claire such a wonderful and caring person how could you not love her. This book is has a very dark side, so be warned, I however was hooked from beginning to end and loved it. Looking forward to more.

Interesting plot. Contains explicit sex so dont read if its not your thing. Ends in a cliffhanger.

While reading this book i had no idea what was going on. The sex scenes were nice. But there is little to no plot. I can't imagine the world they live in because the author doesn't give enough background information. 1/5 stars.

YOU ARE MY MATE, BOUND, AND YOU WILL DEVOTE YOURSELF TO ME I was captivated by this post-apocalyptic dystopian future story. It is dark and disturbing, not a sweet, happy story. The world is now with cities in domes, and this one is under the regime of escaped convicted Alpha named Sheppard. He rules and has followers, and then there are Betas and Omegas. They are referred as humans, but they mate more like animals, with the female going into heat. Claire is an Omega and becomes the pair-bonded mate to Sheppard by force. He keeps her locked away like a prisoner, and she has no connections to anyone but him. The plot and the characters are definitely unique, their mating, behavior, and roles in life. There isn’t marriage between Claire and Sheppard, he uses her heat and mates her, against what she wants, but could be considered dubious consent based upon what the estrous does to her body. Wow, just when Claire starts to feel something for Sheppard, Svana’s unexpected arrival and whatever hold Svana has over Sheppard destroys Claire emotionally. This is book one in this trilogy, and we are left with a cliffhanger.

I generally don't like otherworldly paranormal stories but this one pulled me into the narrative from the get go. The characters of Claire and Shepard are so realistic you can almost touch them. The descriptions of other characters and scenarios are just as painstakingly precise. This is the first installment. I can't wait until the next chapters unfold.
