Bosco the beagle was caring and kind, He had a warm heart and he had a great mind.
His best friend Beanie spent each day in school While Bosco counted bones in the backyard on his stool.
Each day around two he would slip through the gate Hang out by his fire hydrant and there he would wait.
As it rolled around the corner and screeched to a stop Beanie sprang from the school bus with a leap and a hop.
"Guess what little hound dog!" Beanie shouted loud and strong. "Tomorrow's a school day and you're coming along!"
"It'll be so much fun but first take a bath. You can't smell like a hound dog when you're trying to learn math."
"Now brush your teeth well and pick out a sweater. Why you'll look more handsome than a purebred Irish Setter."
Bosco was so excited he couldn't even sleep. He tried to count rabbits, he tried to count sheep.
When morning time came Bosco jumped from his bed And raced to the kitchen so he'd be first to get fed.
