Bosnian Affair by Christopher Fox

Brad is a successful architect who was drawn into an affair with the lovely and seductive Sophia, an interior designer of Bosnian descent. When visiting her one time at her apartment, he discovers that she has been murdered. The book, through flashbacks, describes details of their affair and how he was allured into it. Meanwhile, in present time, Brad uses his friends and contacts to track down her killer. His investigation reveals a startling discovery of a sought-after war criminal entrenched into a high-level Canadian position. His probe takes him from Sarajevo to Buenos Aires and he must draw upon his sniper skills to bring closure to the matter.
