✔My New Boss.

My sister says don't fall for him. I say don't worry
I'm not about to let some arrogant, young CEO derail my dreams.

I don't care about his deep brown eyes or the way the muscle moves in his square jaw when he's pissed.
I won't fall for his power or how sexy he fills out that suit.

I said I could resist him.
I was wrong...

Raquel Morgan is Trouble.
She's stubborn, independent, and a fighter.
She has long, dark hair, crystal blue eyes, and freckles...
Freckles.

And a smart mouth.

I've spent seven years building one of the top companies in Nashville, and I'm not about to let some ambitious, cardigan-wearing new kid distract me from my goals.

Raquel Morgan won't tempt me.
I'm The Boss, and I never lose control...

(BOSS OF ME is a STAND-ALONE workplace, enemies to lovers, military romance with a badass alpha boss and the feisty woman who steals his heart. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

Boss of Me by Tia Louise was a romantic tale of love in the workplace, skeletons in the closet, misconceptions gone awry and a whole lot of sexy time. Well-written and well-paced this standalone is told in dual POV between Patton Fletcher & Raquel Morgan. Patton is the boss and the man behind the inherited family business of commercial real estate, the AirBNB of the business world. He is ex-military and his work partners are also his Seal Team guys. In an effort to give them all a goal post military and keep them together. With one teammate determined to drink away his memories, another in constant pain, he has his work cut out for him. When the new hire shows up and is a beautiful woman (he prefers to only hire men after the last incident) he balks at the thought of working with her. But even stubborn and stoic Patton cannot deny her business acumen and ability to do her job excellently. Raquel is so happy to be working for Fletcher International, even knowing that her sister quit this place a couple of years ago and then had her breakdown. Even realizing that her new boss is kind of stubborn, demanding and hot. She isn't supposed to think that way about her boss but as long as she doesn't act on it, right? The back and forth between Raquel and Patton and the chemistry too - Phew! - and the growth they go through is well written. Enjoy!

Oh, that cover...I could stare at it all day! Boss Of Me is a sexy, smoldering romance that burns with chemistry right off the pages. Boss Of Me is not part of a series, but it does interconnect with some of Tia's other novels which makes it fun to find those easter eggs if you are familiar with her other works, but also doesn't make it necessary to have read them prior to the release of this book. Patton is a former marine now running the family business, Fletcher International. The motto of "never leave a man behind" is something he stands behind and something that he has a hard time letting go of even in the business world. His former marine teammates currently work with him and sometimes he is so driven and committed to protecting those in his close circle that he is blind to the rest of the world around him. That is until Raquel "Rocky" Morgan starts working there. Raquel finally opens Patton's eyes and his heart to a world he has been missing. For the first time Patton finds a reason to smile. Raquel is smart, confident, beautiful, and a fighter. Everything he needs and never knew he wanted. If only he could keep her once she finds out the secret he's keeping. Raquel began working at Fletcher International with the warning, beware, Patton Fletcher is the devil. Of all God's angels the devil was the most beautiful one and Patton fits every description she could ever imagine that fallen angel to be. He also doesn't seem to like her. A constant scowl on his face whenever she is present, but that doesn't stop her from trying her best. She didn't earn the nickname Rocky for nothing. She is a fighter and she never gives up. The more time they spend together, the more Raquel realizes that the description of Patton being the devil must be true. He has bewitched her, woven his way into her heart and she is unsure of how to stop it. She likes her job and doesn't want anyone to think she's using him to climb her way to the top. Falling for the boss was never on her agenda, but what do you do when you want your career and the man that comes with it? When things turn dicey at work can Patton and Raquel still work together as well as they work in the bedroom or will secrets and conflict rip them apart? Boss Of Me had so much potential, but a few times I felt the lack of flow in the story. There is a coworker who blatantly harasses Raquel and yes, we are in the #MeToo era and things can go too much the opposite way. So while I respect that Raquel wanted to do her job and prove herself on her own merit, the way that particular part of the story played out (I don't want to spoil the plot) I felt it could have been handled better. I loved the romance between Patton and Raquel and the other characters gave the story great color, but everytime this particular plotline came in it felt off. That's the only way I can describe it. The interconnections with other books was great and I enjoyed that immensely and the two main characters have intense chemistry. If you enjoy workplace romances, this will be a book to add to your TBR!

5 Bossy stars. Tia Louise never fails to deliver a great story and Boss Of Me is definitely another one. It’s a fabulous tale of a strong, independent woman and her tough, take-no-prisoners boss. It’s full of scandal, skeezy co-workers and employees, folk who just don’t care who they hurt to get on top. Rocky and Patton have a tough time to start with, but they are wonderful together and their chemistry shine through all the B.S!! I loved this book, read it in one sitting with a fan at the ready. It’s THAT Hawt!! Grab a comfy seat, a cold drink and your own fan, you’re gonna need them.

Starts with Patton 7 years in the past in a jungle south of the border with Taron and Sawyer on a mission to save a fellow marine. Marley was kidnapped and they rescued him. Then it goes to the present with Raquel talking on the phone to her sister Renee. Raquel ends up working at Fletcher International, Inc and Patton is her boss. Love how the story goes and ends! I recommend this book!!!!!

Holy Hades! Patton Fletcher is one walking, talking, smexy devil of a man! ”They say the devil was heaven’s most beautiful angel. Patton Fletcher standing over me, looking down like he wants to devour me, is better than that.” When Rocky receives a new job, her sister warns her about the man who will be her boss. Patton Fletcher is everything her sister said he would be…but more. Despite all his aggravating behaviors and treatment of her, she finds herself attracted to him. Patton is trying to make up for mistakes in the past and in doing so he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder. When Rocky walks into his life she brings light into his darkness and a smile to his lips. ”I like the way she looks at me, the way she challenges me and teases me. She’s playful and fun. She’s sunlight and fresh air. She makes me feel like for the first time in a long time I can let go and simply be.” But his buddies are all struggling and he has to make things right. Unfortunately, with every step forward he seems to be pushed two steps back. Rocky was a fun, sunny heroine who didn’t take life too seriously. At least she tried not to despite the heavy weight she carried on her shoulders. I loved that she was just as active in pursuing Patton as he was in pursuing her. The chemistry between these two was off the charts! I loved their beginning with their bickering and her always upping him in an argument. She did it with a smile and it drove him crazy, with desire. Patton was the perfect aggravating boss. Until Rocky got a hold of his heart. Then he was all alpha, still bossy, and struggling to find a solution to win her. I loved that she softened him and gave him a place of peace. The fact that he listened to her, took her counsel, and conceded when she had done the right thing made me respect him. I adored everything between these two characters. They had a quick banter, a lot of steam that demanded to be recognized, and the ability to open up to one another. There was some angst that arose towards the end, and while I knew we’d get our happy ever after, I did worry what that was going to look like. This has a few twists – some I saw ahead of time and others caught me by surprise. With a lightning fast pace and a story that was constantly moving forward, this kept me completely engaged from the very beginning. Secondary characters were not of just the lighthearted variety, introduced for levity, but actually added drama to the story. I’m hoping we’re going to get some of their stories as well. Fingers crossed!

Lord almighty, Tia Louise writes the most amazing men. Patton is hard, he’s aloft and kind of a jerk. His employees refer to him as the devil and while this all might be true. Meeting Raquel was just what he needed to loosen up. Occasionally, meeting one single person can change anothers life for the better. Raquel changed Patton’s life; even then, Patton changed Raquel’s. Let me just say, Boss of Me was HAWT! Like insanely how! It has to be Tia Louise’s sexiest, hottest book she has ever written. These two had amazing chemistry that felt alive between them. I love every single letter that Tia Louise wrote in Boss of Me. She writes to my heart and it just sticks with me. I’m always so endeared to the way Mrs. Louise creates her characters. With Patton, we get to know him and we dive right into a traumatizing part of his life, the time he was in the military. The outcome of that former life still lives solely on his shoulders. I was deeply invested into this story… into Patton and Raquel’s story and their lives. I enjoyed the secondary characters so very much!! I would love to know so much more about Patton’s friends. What pulls me into every single one of Tia Louise’s books is her name on the cover… her name. Every time though, I fall for her characters and her fluid writing. I love the way this book has a huge range of emotions. It’s a serious up and down on the feelings scale. The ups and down was specked with banter and lightness that the heavy, darkness needed. You can’t even go wrong with Tia Louise when her name is on a cover and Boss of Me is no different! It’s a gem! I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

4.5 Stars! This forbidden office romance was so intoxicating! It started with Patton and his friends caught up in a heart-pounding, and tragic event that left them scared and broken, never to be the same. In present time, Patton still feels responsible and fiercely protective of them all. This along with the pressure of expanding his business has made him surly, and demanding. Raquel Morgan was a top graduate in her class and has landed a coveted position with his firm. Her sister, Renee, worked for them years ago, leaving abruptly, and warns Raquel to be on guard. But Raquel is a fighter, and she won't let the pushy Boss run over her. The attraction is instant between them. Patton loves how she challenges him, and Raquel has never had such a primitive reaction to a man. I was totally seduced by the sexual tension between Patton and Raquel and the exchange of power they both fought to control. Their attraction was magnetic and their chemistry so explosive they couldn't stay away from each other. I loved how she made him want to live again, and he opened her up to a world of possibilities. But in a world of power, and money, it is important to watch your back. When secrets are revealed it could not only bring down a company, but could tear Patton and Raquel apart, breaking both their hearts. This story touched on so many emotional and raw topics with honesty and empathy. I was moved by these flawed characters, I cared for them and cheered for their HEA. I especially loved the epilogue and how swoony Patton was. I really enjoyed this engaging, poignant, and steamy romance!

Boss of Me is a brand new stand alone by Tia Louise. It’s been awhile since I have read anything of Tia’s. I somehow missed her last released book. So I think I just forgot how amazing she is. How much I love her books, her writing. Well, I’m reminded now, because this book is amazing. To say I fell in love with it would be an understatement! Raquel Morgan is fresh out of Vanderbilt’s Owen Grad School with a shiny new MBA. She graduated at the top of her class. She now has a job at the prestigious Nashville firm, Fletcher International, Inc. Raquel’s older sister, Renee is a former employee of the firm. Her only advice was, do not fall for the boss. Because he is the devil. And she has no plans to do anything of the sort. Until she comes face to face with him for the very first time. Then all her plans fly right out the window. Patton Fletcher took over his father’s commercial real estate firm when he retired. Now he has transformed it to a tech-based company with huge plans to expand further. Because Patton has people that count on him, people he needs to make sure are provided for. Patton is ex-military and his two former team mates, his brothers, work with him. Everything he does is for them, to make sure they are taken care of. Patton is a broody, brusque, difficult man. His only focus is his company. Until she walked in. There is an immediate electric pull between them. He’s determined to ignore it but it doesn’t take long for his resolve to weaken. Patton and Raquel are amazing together. Raquel softens Patton. He smiles, laughs even, with her. He feels things he had long given up on feeling. Raquel is smart, thinks fast on her feet, and proves herself quickly in Patton’s company. This is a dream job. Can she risk falling for her boss? Will they still be able to work together? Both Patton and Raquel feel like they are responsible for so much. They carry so much weight on their shoulders. As their feelings are growing for each other, there are other things that are falling apart around them. I want to stop here, I’m afraid I’ll say too much, give things away. Just know that these two are such a perfect match. Raquel is so strong and doesn’t let Patton run over her at all. She challenges him. This book is steamy, sweet, and full of all the swoons. It made me feel all the butterflies I could handle. And there were some moments my heart was beating so hard. I literally could not put it down. This was such an amazing book, these two are such a wonderful couple. The epilogue was perfect. It gave me the closure I craved. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed it. I hope you’ll pick this up, and love it as much as I did! “I’ve fallen for the devil, and there’s no turning back now.”

Who wouldn’t want to work for a man like Patton Fletcher? He was sexy, incredibly handsome, impeccably dressed and had mysterious tattoos that were hidden by his dress shirt. He was driven, ruthless, controlling and very hard to read. He was also brave, having served his country, and felt that he had to protect his men during the war, and when they came home. Which all added up to Patton being a complex man who definitely met his match when Rocky walked into his office. Raquel “Rocky” Morgan, was bold, brilliant and beautiful with a sassy personality and kind hearted soul. She was aware that working for Patton would be challenging, but she never let anyone hold her back, so she was ready for whatever came her way. She was confident that she would be an asset to his company, but she never expected to be so curious about him as a man, and not her boss. She wanted to know what motivated him to be so successful? Why was he so close to the other partners? What happened while they were in the war together? Rocky found it hard to concentrate on her work when her mind always wandered to thoughts of Patton in situations that were slightly inappropriate. She was determined to keep her relationship with Patton strictly professional, but sometimes what your mind wants is overruled by your heart.

Holy wowza, if ever there was a “sexy devil”, Patton Fletcher would be it. You could also add cranky, bossy, and frowny (is that a word? For him it is). He’s also a little broken, very loyal, and has a heart of gold. Let’s not forget hot & sexy as all get out. In walks Raquel, a surprise to him. She’s young, beautiful, extremely intelligent, and quite a bit of fight to her. There’s instant chemistry between them, even through his crankiness and comments. She proves herself quite early on, and manages to break down his walls, even with so many things going on. I loved this book, I loved these characters, and I loved the feels throughout. This is a must have!

I love complicated heroes. It makes for a meatier end result. Let's be real. Patton is more than a bit of a jerk, but his charm lies in understanding the reasons why. Louise delves deep into the layers that show him for the heartbroken man he truly is. Patton may seem like the devil, but he wears his heartache and guilt close to the vest. Raquel sees behind his suit of armor and crashes right into his soul, but she may lose her heart trying to save his. Boss of Me dares to be sexy, is not afraid of being bold and refuses to be brushed aside. Raquel and Patton are dangerously tempting romance.

Great story.
