I would pay good money to read this story-well within the 9 to 10 $ range other stories in this genre run. A very well written interesting plot with great characters that i immediately wanted to learn more about. The story sucked me in from the first page and is so well written i visualized the scenery. Highly recommend reading this story and this author is a name to remember. I look forward to reading the sequel and am excited i found a new great author in my favorite genre. (I recommend anne bishop, kelly armstrong,"trance",c.e murphy, kristen painter,j.f. lewis, nicky charles...)

Amaazing is an understatement. Well developed charcters, great editing, a plot to stay tuned in to. I usually do not hand out such high praise or give 5 stars, but I feel no shame in saying that this deserves every one of them! I do hope that the second book will become available soon!

I read this in a matter of a few hours and i don't normally read that fast. I am recommending this to anyone who wants to read a good ghost-romance story. Its fantastic for teens!! This book caught me and I couldn't stop until I finished it.What a wonderful book. Like the writing style.Although it's not a triology, the 2nd book just takes up where the 1st stops. The ending on this book kinda leaves you hanging,so you just have to get the 2nd book. Can't wait for the 3rd book.

Deliciously surprising. I expected a cliche plot and mundane characters, but this author pleasantly surprised me. The only thing wrong with this story (in my simple-minded opinion) is that I found myself more attractive to the other male character in the story that was, unfortunately, NOT the main male character (hint: the bad boy). Don't know why, but I find that most women go for the guys who play "harder" to get. All in all, still an awesome read and I thank the author for saving me from dying of boredom on the start of my summer. :) Happy Reading!!!!

396 pages and the ending dropped off. Now I am just pissed that I even started to red the book. If only I had known. I am glad it was free but I can not get back the time I lost reading the darn thing

Cant stand the insecure best friend. She doesnt deserve a friendship with A. Anyway besides that the book is good. characters you dont know to love them or hate them, dont know if they are evil or not cant wait to read the second book.

i enjoyed reading this book. It was an "O-Kay" kind of book, but the plot and story lines were good!

The Good: I found the plot and characters interesting and I was eager to read more and find out what would happen. The Bad: Every time I started to get into the story I would get frustrated with dialogue that seemed odd and unrealistic, improper use of words (I mean for goodness sake! Use a dictionary!), and a main character that would react irrationally in a way that didnt match up with the situation (for example: getting made at Lucus when all he's doing is being nice to her). Over all if I had to sum it up in one word, it'd be "Meh"

Very good and free. Can't wait to read the next one.

Took too long to get going, seems like nothing but a set up for a sequel. Unfortunately the second book was much worse than the first. Even if it is part of a trilogy or a series, the writer should take into consideration that each book, is just that, a BOOK and a full story should be contained within. And for pity's sake, please use an editor.

Loving the book very romantic and very discriptive to give a visual of the characters and everone is in a type of turmoil

A great deal could have been done with as deep subject matters as those touched on in the story. Class, race, unrequited love, voodoo??? I kept wanting to be excited but the writing was simplistic. Characters and plot points under developed. The writing reminds me of assignments I wrote in highschool (Half assedly). The main character is feeble minded, selfish and overall annoying. Her weakness is downright disgusting. As a female reading this book i was darn near infuriated by how she reinforced all the terrible things men probably already think about the female mind. Indecisive. Simplistic. Petty.....and ive written this review after pushing through 4 books of this series. I truly hoped it would get better. Id even re read these very same books if a DIFFERENT author re-wrote them......or this one took a few classes and tried again

I had trouble with the writing style. There were abvious grammer mistakes and the book just felt like the rough draft. Like a great start but it wasn't expanded and finished. I'm not sure I'll pay to read the others.

I can't really complain because it was a free book but I have to say, Ariela was a bit of a rude character. The over-all story was pretty good. And voodoo is a nice change from reading about vampires and werewolves. Lol

Great book but just as the story gets going its TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!!!!!!! Right as it was getting good. I wont be finishimg this. Dont get me wrong i lkke series books where the same chatacters are in each but stopping in the middle of a scene sucks even for a free one. Had this finished i would have bought the next ones.

Arelia comes off as very immature and childish. If the description wouldn't say she is 16, I would have believed she is just 10. She would overreact to the smallest things and she does the most stupid mistakes that make her unlikeable. despite having heard spirits her whole life, she refuses to believe any of it. instead of having courage, Arelia shows having no backbone. When her best friend turns against her, she forgives her. What? This is a no no for me. I could not, for the life of me, understand this girl. As for Lucus, he was shallow. I didn't feel that there was an attraction between him and her. They all seemed very stiff; unconvincing. How I am supposed to enjoy a book when the character is already so whinny and weak. The second book didn't get better. I won't read any more books by this author.

This story could have been good...its a bit different view of the paranormal world. But the charters are too contradictory. The main girl likes but doesn't like people. and says, while making a decision...I can't make decisions but I have no time to think about changing my mind...right after she was told to take all the time she needed. It doesn't make sense. Don't even let me get started on Ivan. He is just the worst. The people in this story are all whiney and unlikable and add little to the story line. I will not be finishing this series. The author should really consider some an alpha and beta readers (or some new ones) and a good content editor.(or a new one of those as well)

This book is insanely immature. The main character is as deep as a puddle. She's the poor, 'hard working', misunderstood pretty girl that doesn't know she's pretty with a rich spoiled best friend. The other main characters only get worse, from The Dumpty's to the tragic and hot Lucus who Arelia knows is mysterious but 'just can't put her finger on it.' Serioisly, this book and the writing is terrible. I have no idea how this is a series.

After reading all 402 pages of this ebook, I can honestly say there was only setup with no actual plot. Perhaps this sort of drivel appeals to a YA audience but the characters were shallow and the dialogue irritating.

I love the voodoo history in this book! It was really awesome and had a twist that made ths story so irresistable!

I was pleasently surprised with this book. The characters were interesting, the plot strong and of course well thought out. I'm looking forward to reading more.

My review goes for all for books. This is the kind of book that will make you not put it down and ends in a way you want more and wont stop till you do. These book are beautifuly written... a piece of art you want to own and stare at for an eternity. These books made me laugh, cry, go into the book and give some of the carecters a peice of my mind*or severly injure them* , and at some points make me want to throw my nook at the wall. But it is one of the few book you will never forget. It made ne want to go into the book with the carecters and experience what they are. It plays with your mind with its mysteries and takes you to a whole different world full of romace, tragidy, mystery, and humor. I would deffenintly recomend you to read it. And if your into voodoo and new orlenes and such things like this its for you. I have never read anything like this before it griped me at just the first few pages and made me stay up all night reading the first and second book before i gave into sleep. So even if you havent read anything like or even remotly close to this style of read you'll probly fall in love with it. And that is why it is a must read and one of my favorit books.
