Overview

A fierce bounty hunter. An outlaw on the run. A love that transcends it all.
After three years on the run, the notorious bounty hunter Tyler Calhoun catches up with the elusive lady outlaw, Nicky Malloy. The intensity of their dislike for each other is only matched by the burgeoning passion they can't control.
A loner by nature, a cold hard hunter by choice, Tyler fights his feelings for his prisoner the only way he knows how -- by ignoring them. He's not prepared for the depth of his feelings, or how hard it will be to hold her prisoner--so close and so far away. Pursued and hunted themselves, Nicky and Tyler are forced to turn to each other for aid, trust, and comfort as their journey progresses to an inevitable end.
Caught in a murky world of lies, they hold on to each other as they travel to Wyoming to confront the man that brought them together. Tyler has to decide if his love for Nicky is worth more than the bounty he was sent to find.

Review by Jen: I picked up the ebook version of this book a while ago after seeing Beth Williamson promo this erotica western series. I'd been looking for more historical erotica and thought it sounded good. Besides, it's the first book in a series and we all know by now how much I love reading series. At any rate, this book sat on my ebook shelf for months and months. But then, recently I saw it waiting for me and decided to start reading. And I am glad I did. I liked the characters of Nicky and Tyler. Nicky is haunted by the events that led her to go on the run and Tyler is jaded from his childhood and career path. But both were able to get past the obstacles and embrace life. I enjoyed the plot. I haven't run across many women fugitive stories and this one was well done. And now I'm anxious to pick up the next book in the series (which follows Nicky's rather large family), The Prize. I highly recommend if you like some spice in your historical western romance reading. And the whole series is available in ebook and print.

What A Storyteller! This was my first Beth Williamson book..I am a huge fan of Linda Lael Miller and was anxious to find another author that wrote good western romance..Some of it out there is just horrid...I loved this book. I read it cover to cover yesterday. I am buying the rest of the " Malloy Family " books today..These books are sassy, and exciting to read...Beth Williamson is now one of my favorite authors..Love those Cowboys!!

First time I have read this author and I couldn't put it down. It is a fast read almost wish it wouldn't end. I almost didn't buy it as I stray away from series derived books...today I am ordering the rest and can't wait to get them in the mail.
Niki the damsel in distress had the most heroic cowboy. He isn't perfect at protection or love but hey she's strong enough to correct and protect as well. If your contemplating this book I say don't delay.

Not sure when or where I picked this one up. The Bounty is the story of a bounty hunter sent out to bring back a person accused of murder and theft. Surprised when he learns it's a woman he's been hired to find, the hired gun sets out on his mission. After locating the girl, he is forced to decide between what is right and what he's being paid to do. They both struggle with their feeling, desires and dreams on the journey back to face her accuser. I liked the plot. I liked most of the characters. The reason I didn't rate the book higher was they it was somewhat repetitive. Same conflicting emotions, same fights with one another, same struggles to figure out what the other was thinking. It worked for a while, but by the end I was tired of it all and was just looking forward to wrapping things up.

I got this book for free so I was doubtful how good it would be. So glad I read it. It was really good. I think I will have to buy the rest of the series.

A good romance story placed in the late 1800’s. It’s about a bounty hunter that is extremely good at tracking outlaws. The outlaw is a beautiful female, who has dressed as a ranch hand for many years and thus mislead many men and other bounty hunters.

Story line was engaging. The two main characters were interesting .Their interactions were compelling, at times funny, and always engaging. The major complaint for me was the amount of words spent on their attraction for each other and the activities this attraction created.

Short but fun to read. The main characters were made for each other. I will read other books by Ms. Williamson. Fun read.
