Sweet story with some twists and a hot, romantic cowboy. I want one!

Megan is recently divorced from their verbally abusive husband and is moving from New Mexico to Arizona to be near her family. Megan has a lot of scars by being told that she wasn't thin enough or just not good enough so she doesn't believe anyone will love her.  Not only did her ex constantly tell her she wasn't good enough but her parents also did not respect her. Once she gets back home, she finds out that her parents are about to lose their home and restaurant because the owner of the restaurant next to them wants their building and has spread rumors about how bad the food and cleanliness of the place is, so that they will go out of business and sell to him. Ryan sees Megan at a county fair and wants to get to know her so introduces himself.  They spend the day together at the fair and hit of off starting a romance. I liked Ryan's patience with Megan. After the negative feedback she has had all her life, she couldn't believe Ryan was really interested in her but he finally got her to see that he really enjoyed her company and thought she was beautiful. Things get complicated for everyone when foreclosure proceedings start on the restaurant and Ryan is part of it. She thinks he was using her to get to her parents about this business. I enjoyed Branded For You and liked the writing style of the author very much. The character development was also good. I love cowboys and sexy Ryan was terrific.  Everyone liked him.  Why wouldn't you like someone who is patient and kind to everyone, young and old? I felt sorry for Megan with her lack of self-confidence but generally liked her.  Megan's parents were a piece of work! Her mother was cruel and her father didn't stick up for her when he should have. I’ll recommend it for the plot and the concept which I liked very much. Enjoy reading folks!

This book isn't bad, I had a really tough time staying with it though. The details are too in depth, and sometimes paragraphs are wasted on details that, although they paint a nice picture, are unnecessary. It takes away your ability for an imagination. To be honest, I spent a day reading it, and I can hardly remember the main plot, I can't say there is any part that makes me want to rave and reccomend.

Cute story, however I do feel it could have been presented a little better . It did not keep my interest very well. L.M.A.

Not worth cost too expensive for a very short book. Predictable

Megan and Ryan are great together. I enjoyed the getting to know Megan's family and how easy misunderstandings can happen when people don't listen to each other. In some ways Ryan was almost too good to be true. He was just what Megan needed at that time. Overall excellent story for a relaxing afternoon.

First book by this author. Story flowed easily and kept you extremely interested. Romantic suspense is always good and the love story did not hurt either. Very well done, will read other books by this author.

Not what I expected at all from reading the synopsis and the other reviews. "Rough and hard, can you take it?" Restraining her arms with his big belt? Seriously, the first time they are together, on date number two?? Where did they get the descriptions of a 'sweet' love story? If it's going to be that graphic, just say so and those that chose to read it can do so. Don't portray a sweet love story and then hit us with a Mr. Gray type of scenario. Geez! Obviously, I quit reading this book and won't be reading any more by this author.

A very cute sweet story.

I enjoyed the story, but the female character is on the weak side as far as personality. She goes along with all of his ideas, but doesn't have any of her own.

I have to agree with another review that there is too much detail which was tedious. While the story and characters were sweet, adding the sex scenes gave them a whole different feel which just didn't jive with their character and made it raunchy. I'd read more of this series to see if it improved as I liked the family and setting. Otherwise, it was an OK read, nothing memoriable.

This was a fun, easy book to read. There was a nice storyline, the characters were well written, and the plot was easy to follow. The only critic I have is the details: several scenes were written with an over abundance of them; for example 3 paragraphs on getting S'mores stuff out and set on a table is too much. I did like the overall story though.

**Review on Audible Copy** I received an audible copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was my first Cheyenne McCray book, and my first audio book. Branded For You was a wonderful story, the characters likeable and relatable. I felt an immediate connection to Meg, and attraction to Ryan, while the story had twists I did not see coming. My only complaint would be the narration. David Quimby had excellent diction and his narration was well paced, but I couldn’t help feeling he would be better suited to a different story. Some of the voices made the characters sound far older than they were, and some of the content did not seem to match his vocal inflections.

GOTTA LOVE THOSE COWBOYS! It's a wonder that Megan Wilder is still smiling. She suffered through a childhood full of criticism from her parents, only to wind up married to a man who is also verbally abusive. Now that the marriage has dissolved, she's moving to get away from all the bad memories and to be able to live closer to her sister and niece. Before she has time to take a deep breath, she meets Ryan McBride .. tall, dark, handsome...and a man with a good heart. Ryan is instantly attracted to the very curvy Megan and wants way more than a short-term relationship. Megan wants to have a family of her own someday. When the family business is in danger of going under, it's Ryan who puts the nail in the coffin.. he threatens foreclosure. And Megan's world goes even darker when her father suffers a heart attack due to stress. Will all these obstacles stand in the way of true love? This is a light hearted mystery, with a lot of romance. It's nice and breezy, and you can't help but hope for a happy ending.
