Selma Lehmann sees demons. But what's worse is—they see her, too.

No one believes that there are monsters walking among us. No one wants to believe.
But they're real, and when Selma falls into their hands, the truth about her curse proves far worse than she could have ever known.

Trapped by a demon whose singular desire is to possess her, body and soul, Selma's only hope for freedom is to submit to his grueling pleasures.

Branded is a prequel novella to the series Demon's Mark. Selma's story concludes in the next book.

Please note: this book has previously been released as a 6-part serial under the same name.

About the Author

I am Nora Ash, and I write a plethora of different romance books. Some of them are really dirty, some of them are only kinda-dirty, some are paranormal, some are contemporary… Basically, I have a rampant imagination and no way of controlling it, except from just writing down whichever idea pops into my head at the time.

The one thing my books always have in common, though? A great story and a guaranteed HEA. Even if sometimes it takes a couple of books to get there!

I’m originally from the cold North (AKA Scandinavia) but these days I live in rainy England with my amazing fiancé and our two pesty cats. When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, watching Real Housewives of Wherever (reality tv it’s my shameful addiction) or hiking in whatever bit of woodland I can find.

Three fun facts about me:

1) I once ran away with a traveling circus
2) I’m a decent rider (English style only, though)
3) I’m bilingual. Almost-kinda trilingual, but my Spanish is terri-bad these days.

★ I see monsters - Uniquely entertaining start to this series ★ —>>> Selma’s life takes a dreadful turn when she acts the Good Samaritan and ends up in an institution headed by Chief Psychiatrist Dr. Hershey. There, she is becomes privy to some disturbing truths and treatments in his care at Ravenswood House, some which make the puzzle pieces fall into place, and others which make her fear for her life. Uniquely entertaining start to this series!

This book is a prequel to Demon’s mark, it shows Selma introduction to a whole new world, magic carpets not included, and glimpses into the hierarchy of the demon world. I love Selma so much, she is vulnerable without being annoyingly helpless which is something that is a must for me, a main character i can root for while I read. I can’t wait to see more of her! What a great start for what looks like a promising series. Poor Selma can’t seem to catch a break. She began seeing monsters at a young age. Of course no one else sees them so her journey began in and out of Therapist offices and hospitals. Only those monsters were real. Trying to help out another girl lands her back in trouble and up close and personal with the monsters she fears. Great 1 part to the series. Looking forward to more. *voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author* I wouldn't recommend this to those who do not like dark erotica. If you do NOT like dubious consent, forced orgasms or enjoy the thought of these demon males being total Alphas, don't read this. It is a bit of a cliffhanger but if you're the type to really enjoy these reads, then it'll just be that more enticing for you. I liked it because it was hot, a little scary, and the tease of what kind of paranormal fantasy world these demons lived in was more than enticing. The beginning was a little too dubious for me because a sensitive assault wasn't clarified, and I spent a good few pages of information worrying over it until it finally got confirmed that she wasn't... hurt. These are very sensitive topics that can go so wrong if one thing's not done right, and it's really the only thing that kept me from enjoying this. Writing was good. Selma was an interesting character who had a hard time living with her 'hallucinations'. Part of me wishes a little more had been done for her so she wasn't always just someone 'crazy' looking for help, but I also get that it's a prequel to the conclusion of Selma's story.... It hasn't even come out yet and I'm already wishing there were more lol.

Demons and Breeders and Humans OH MY! Nora Ash has once again shown us how talented she is! This book is in a genre I have never read before, and I really fell in love with the world she has created. A world where women like Selma, a special kind with the ability to see behind the veil of a demon's human disguise for what they really are - Demons & Lords. Terrified all her life, moving from one psychiatric ward to the next, for the last 10 years, Selma has "not" had any of her "hallucinations" , as she believes them to be, until one fateful night when she makes a choice that will change her life - forever. Quite literally. Now in a mental hospital, she meets her new Doctor, who introduces himself as Dr. Hershey and claims that he can help her, make her "hallucinations" disappear, but all is not as it seems and Selma soon finds out that she is far more than human, she is a Breeder, a treasure, a soon to be bought mate for the Lords. This steamy introduction to this series is HOT, STEAMY and I could not put it down! It does end on a cliffhanger though! So be warned - BUT don't let that deter you from getting your hands on this treasure, because there is a book 2 AND a book 3! The author's world build up in this first book is really good, even if most of it is at the hospital - we still get a really good impression of how this world works. The language is easy flowing, it's HOT and steamy at times, our dear Doctor has a dirty mouth (yum) and Selma show's a strong character, by no means is she a meek miss willing to just lay down! I can't wait for book 2! And I highly recommend this series! :) **I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.**

The book is fast-paced in the reading, taking you from Selma on the street as a witness to making her escape attempt. As a fan of books that give emotions that we can read clearly I love this in the book, I really do not want to give any spoilers in this review so I just need to say she feels pleasure, pain and horror but what do you expect when you have a demon around you. Totally need to read Demon's Mark to find out what develops if/when Selma escapes. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This author is one you really need to follow as you will never be disappointed.

this was one hot sexy story! Selma sees demons that appears no one else sees....hence, she is considered mentally unstable and treated with medication. Her "siightings" started as a young child and follows her into adulthood. What exactly does or doesn't see? Read to find out.......whew.......I am now going to buy the next book
