From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes another dark, sexy story…
Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?
He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted...and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.
I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.
When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.
Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me?  Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?

I took a risk buying the first book without an overview written. I tried to read some reviews and discovered only 5 of them... All good. I dove into Jasper's world and couldn't escape! I had to read Rogan then lept from that second book to Tag's book! I loved all of them and was hoping for a surprise ending that showed hope for a 4th novel... I am only disappointed that this is the end of a fantastic series.Take a risk and read a book without an overview... You'll never know what kind of hidden treasures you could find.

Brave Enough is the third book in M. Leighton's Tall, Dark, and Dangerous Series. Each book in the series is a companion novel, and can be easily read as a standalone. I've enjoyed the series very much, but each book in the series is really very different. Strong Enough, book #1 was filled with danger, suspense, murder, and was kind of downright raw and gritty. I loved it. Tough Enough, book #2 was good as well, but it was really nothing like Strong Enough. In Brave Enough, M. Leighton surprised me once again in that the third book in this series is nothing at all like the first or the second. It was a very good romance and while it is considered a contemporary romance, the language, the setting, and the dialogue kind of had the feel of a little historical romance, at least to me. Who would have thought that the sexy, dark, and dangerous former special ops guy Tag Barton, would have had that old school flare. He was quite the romantic. The story is set in the beautiful Chiara Vineyard, which the female love interest in the story, Weatherly O'Neal's family owns. Tag's family has managed the vineyard for years, and during that time, what was once something Tag was not too fond of, has now become something he loves. Weatherly's arrival was unexpected, but definitely not unwanted. The sparks fly between she and Tag from the get go. Weatherly is trying to escape her father and the "arranged marriage," he wants to force her into. Tag helps her by devising a plan that will get her out it. What starts out as fake, soon becomes very real for Tag and Weatherly. Tag has secrets he hasn't shared, however, and when they are, things between them are suddenly not good at all. Tag has his work cut out for him if he is going to overcome his deceit and win Weatherly back....after all, the heart wants what the heart wants, so he pulls out all the stops. Needless to say, all of this makes for quite the enjoyable read, and enjoy it I did. M. Leighton delivers another sexy hero in Brave Enough, one her fans will definitely enjoy getting to know.

Tag and Weatherly comes from two separate social classes. Weatherly comes from money, in fact her family owns the vineyard that Tag and his family has been running for many years. Weatherly tries to escape to the vineyard in order to come up with a plan to thwart her father's contention that she has to marry someone that he does business with in order to save their family. Tag is not what he seems and hides many secrets from Weatherly. Both of them start out using each other as an escape, but find themselves falling in love. Weatherly really was sheltered and dense for part of this book. She takes things on face value and never delves too deep for fear she will shatter her illusions. Tag knows he may lose Weatherly with all that he is keeping from her, but he does it anyway. It was a good story and flowed well, I just needed a little more bonding between Weatherly and Tag at times other than when they were having sex. Although these are eluded to, they are glossed over and I think that is where the story fell a little short for me. I needed more joking around and seeing their friendship form. I did like the ending and have really enjoyed this whole series.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Strong Enough (Tall, Dark, and Dangerous, #1) Tough Enough (Tall, Dark, and Dangerous #2) This is Weatherly and Tag’s story. Tag is working at Weatherly’s family vineyard. They become friends and start a relationship. The friends with benefits relationship works for them but when she needs a fake fiancé Tag agrees to help her out. Her family wants her to marry for business and Weatherly wants nothing to do with that. Can these two just stay friends or will this passion they have for each other pull them into something even more? Are they even ready for more? Will one secret be the thing that keeps them from forever? I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book.

I just love this series . this book about Tag and Weatherly, there was just something about it that was so emotional for me. Tag is one of our ex-ops boys. and now that they're safe, I was wondering how M Leighton was going to threaten him. I mean the physical threat was gone.. so, what could she do? I shouldn't have doubted. she took us on an emotional rollercoaster in this one. the threat- all in the feels, the broken heart, the emotions. immediately I was swept up in all things romantic with Tag. I mean how could you not be. the cabin, the 4 wheeler, the grapes, the mud, just everything he did for her had an emotional tie to it.. it mattered to them. it was sweet. it was swoonworthy. it was HOT. Then Tag stepped in regarding the dude. the arrangement. and it was like their relationship stepped up a notch. and while you know Tag is keeping a secret, you are left wondering what it is. M keeps us on the edge of our seat wondering what will cost him his love. then the truth comes out..I think my stomach flipped. I was so invested. so involved. so into their relationship. I was torn, just like Weatherly. what to do? do I hate this character or love him? and what he does to battle his heartbreak , how he handles it, how he proves his love.. made me fall so much for that character. M is so fluid with her writing style. every dang time she sucks me in and leaves me wanting more. her writing seems so effortless and smooth . if you've read the other books you will want to read this one too. it's so dang beautiful.

Weatherly has always done what was expected of her but her father has gone too far this time. She is to be married to a business associate to save his company. Weatherly escapes to the one place that she has always loved the vineyard her family owns Chiara. Stella was their caretaker but she became ill so her son Tag came home to care for his mother and the vineyard. Sparks fly between Weatherly and Tag. Tag has a secret and he needs to confide in Weatherly but he doesn't and when she finds out it destroys her and her happy marriage. Tag has to prove to Weatherly that he can be trusted and loves her completely. Another wonderful story and a must read.

BRAVE ENOUGH is the third installment in M.Leighton’s adult, contemporary TALL, DARK AND DANGEROUS erotic, romance series. This is former Special Ops soldier/ winery foreman Tag Barton, and heiress/philanthropist Weatherly O’Neal’s story line. BRAVE ENOUGH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person points of view (Weatherly and Tag) BRAVE ENOUGH is a fake fiancé/marriage of convenience trope that focuses on love and a lie from which there may be no return. Weatherly O’Neal is about to be forced into an arranged marriage by her family to keep her family’s billionaire dollar business afloat, and finds herself at the winery where she spent many of her summers growing up. Meeting sexy, handsome winery foreman Tag Barton throws all of Weatherly’s caution to the wind when her father’s plans for the future are interrupted by a man that Weatherly barely knows. What ensues is a story of insta lust/love that finds Tag harboring a secret that will destroy Weatherly’s heart. For this reader, Tag’s secret was easily deduced early on in the story. The relationship between Tag and Weatherly begins upon a lie-a lie that Tag knows will break Weatherly’s heart and destroy any happiness that the future may bring. Weatherly is running from a forced marriage, and Tag is the perfect foil to prove to her father that she is not a business transaction for her father’s company. The $ex scenes are seductive, intense and hot. Tag knows how to please a woman both in and out of the bedroom. The world building looks at family, betrayal, love and lies. Although Tag Barton is a former Special Ops soldier, there is little to no connection to the previous two story lines although Keifer Rogan and Katie Rydale (Tough Enough #2) make a cameo appearance both during and after Tag’s fall from grace. The story line focuses on one man’s need to protect his family and home-at all costs. BRAVE ENOUGH is a sweet story line; a slow build to a happily ever after that sees two people finding love under difficult circumstances. The premise looks at promises of forever and betrayal of love; the characters are colorful, animated and heartbreaking; the romance is provocative and steamy. M.Leighton adds another wonderful story line to her library of go-to reads.

Perfect book for a book club that enjoys a glass a wine. It pairs well with both a red and white. Tag may work the land at the vineyard, but he isn’t a snobby sommelier. He’s over 6 and half feet tall with broad shoulders and a narrow waste. But more importantly, he knows the type of kiss that pairs and follows the type of wine. Weatherly is looking for an opportunity to let go. Lucky for her, she arrives at her family’s property, an amazingly romantic paradise, and finds the incredibly hot Tag whose more than happy to engage in some down and dirty sex. After reading some of these scenes, I needed a cold shower more than the characters. Best part of the book is that both main characters are multi-dimensional. They are possessive, strong, shrewd, and articulate but can also show insecurities and regret. They were anything but predictable, which made for a great read. There were lots of twists that kept me turning the pages ’til the very end.

4.5 - "Tell me all your secrets..." Stars! Michelle Leighton did a bit of a 180 with Brave Enough in that the first two books in the series fell fully into the ‘Romantic Suspense’ category, whereas for me, this one was very much all about the romance. Nothing wrong with that as my rating attests, but if you are expecting heavy drama and lots of bad guys then Tag and Weatherly’s story may come as a bit of a surprise to you. The author has taken a well-used trope in the Rich Heiress falling for a Member of the Staff, and done what she does best, and that is offer up a couple of likeable characters with plenty of chemistry, lots of diverse sexy times and a little bit of side drama to keep things rolling along. You can tell pretty quickly that both Tag and Weatherly have more going on than you are initially led to believe, the nature of Tags background, and the glimpses you see of him in the previous books attest that this isn’t a guy that just grows grapes, but I loved the setting for their coming together, Chiara Vinyard and the surrounding areas were a really great backdrop to their romance. Prepare yourself for a little 'insta' as everything moves pretty quickly between them, but it’s set up that way as a precursor for the drama that unfolds in the second half of the book. The villain of the piece was pretty much obvious from the get-go, but the author managed to tie everything up really well, and as I previously said although this book wasn’t completely what I was expecting in relation to the rest of the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series, I still really, really enjoyed it. "You’re worth the risk. I’d be willing to bet my life on it." Michelle Leighton is an author that can pretty much turn her hand to any genre, I think it’s her ability to take her characters and not matter what walk of life they come from, or personality traits they have, whether likeable or disagreeable, you always find something in or about that makes you empathise with them, and get involved with the story they are experiencing. Another winner for me, and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. ARC generously provided via Netgalley, and it was my absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review.
