In Hermosillo,Enrique finds that Arriquibar Sosa, who runs the town with an iron fist, has taken his grandfather prisoner. We now have another exciting sequel to the Blood for Justice Series, written by this exceptional author, Steven Law. In the first book of the series, “El Paso Way,” Law introduced us to Enrique Osorio, the exciting main character of this series. Enrique and his partners in justice; Pang Lo, Sereno and Charles Dutton, have recently defeated the notorious villain, Valdar. The legend of these brave men is now preceding them wherever they go, and the people call them El Trio. (The name is a mystery to the four men, as they have no idea why they are called a “trio.”) The story takes place in 1884, in the town of Hermosillo, where Enrique, Pang Lo, and Sereno are continuing their quest to find Orsorio’s beloved Grandfather. Enrique had heard he was working on a nearby plantation, but when they arrived at the beautiful hacienda, they met a grieving widow, Constanza Ramirez who had just buried her murdered husband. Constanza tells Enrique that his Grandfather was kidnapped by the same evil murderer, Arriquibar Sosa. Enrique’s first meeting with the murderous despot begins when he is falsely accused and arrested by Sosa. Pang Lo quickly contacts Charles Dutton, the fourth member of the group, and urgently requests his help with saving Enrique’s life. This is a great mystery Western which will captivate the reader. I didn’t want to put it down. It has a very unique plot with many twists and turns that kept me guessing to the very end. The amazing abilities of El Trio, were mysterious and almost super human. “Brave Sonora” will excite and appeal to even those who may be lukewarm to the Western genre. It is a great read!
