It happened once before when her fiancé abandoned her just when she needed him most. Everything about the smoking hot alien, Braxx, reminds her of her ex: his good looks, his confidence, his persistence. He won't take no for an answer and shows up night after night at the restaurant where she works. It's a enough to wear a girl down, make her doubt her convictions, maybe hope that love can conquer the heartbreak of the past...

Dakonian Braxx is a simple man with simple needs: find a good woman and have a big family. With females in very short supply on his planet, he heads for Earth through the Intergalactic Dating Agency. SHE’S GIVEN UP ON LOVE, BUT LOVE HASN’T GIVE UP ON HER Once again, Ms. Cara Bristol has spun an amazing sci-fi romance with humor, with a touch of mystery and suspense. The new series is a spin-off from her Alien Mate series, where human women were sent to Dakon to be paired up with Dakonian men. In this new series, the Intergalactic Dating Agency has involved allowing alien men and human women to use a computer match-making program to help match them up, and the aliens will come to Earth. While this is part of a series, each book will read well as a stand-alone. The sixth story will bring Dakonian, Kord to earth, to find a mate when his brother, Braxx, signed them both up with the IDA. Kord will mate with Barbie Q owner, Barb Quintain. Braxx will meet her assistant manager, Holly Hansen, realize she is his fated mate, but she will reject him. But why? What must Braxx do to help Holly see they belong together? This is their story! “The instant he meets Holly Hansen, his horns begin to throb, and he realizes she’s the ONE. His fated mate. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to recognize they’re meant to be together. But he didn’t come this far to give up easily, and he hopes that with patience and baby steps, he’ll win her heart.” The plot will keep this story’s pages turning with so much angst, misunderstandings, miscommunications, and one determined Dakonian, Braxx, who refuses to give up on Holly—after all, she is his Fated Mate. Holly has a deep secret, one that has caused her heartache and rejection, and she can’t bear to go through that pain again. Braxx may want her, but he has let it be known he wants kits—and for Holly, that can’t happen. She is broken, physically, and emotionally. “I don’t like you,” he said. “Like is too tepid for what I feel for you. You’re my life mate. I knew you were the female for me the moment I saw you. You fill my days with joy and my nights with sweet dreams. You make my horns throb and my heart race. I cannot imagine a life without—“ Braxx tries his best to capitulate to Holly’s demands, even when she banishes him from Barbie Q, he will stay away. He works in the school system, becomes a Big Brother, and he does what he can to show Holly his commitment. But the one thing they both have trouble doing is communicating well with one another. “What if I said all I wanted is you? Will you give me a chance? Will you go out with me?” “You’re good, kind, and—honest, handsome—and hot—and caring, and, I don’t know, I just do. I didn’t want to, but I do.” The story has plenty of mystery, suspense, angst, and eventually, they will start seeing each other—will Holly and Braxx find their happiness—and maybe share it with someone else? These two have great chemistry together and deserve happiness. “Reunited, we would never separate. Kits, no kits, miscommunication, misunderstands, broken phones, missed messages, and machinations of those with ill intentions meant nothing. She might not fully understand the depth of my devotion, but she would. I had a lifetime to show her.”
