This book was truly remarkable.  Right from the beginning, Charlotte's story had me on the edge of my seat.  her feelings were described in such detail that I felt like Charlotte was my best friend explaining her problems to me.  And then there is William who has a whole set of problems of his own, but also takes on the burden of Charlotte in order to save her.  I found the story absolutely heart wrenching at times, but so good that I could not put it down.  I do wish that there was a little bit more back story of both the characters and their lives after the story ended, but I was so pleased with this book that I told my friends they had to read it! *I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.*

This book was so interesting. That being said, I know it starts out with a suicide attempt. However once you get past that, and into the story it just to damn hard to put it down. I read till the wee morning hours. I adored the leading man, he may have been a criminal, street racer, and do-gooder as Lottie called him. But he has a good heart. He took one depressed young women and helped her turn her life around. This book only had one problem for me, I just wanted more. I hope the writer decides to expand on this story I'd love to know more about William and Lottie and their friends. Even find out what is behind all the nick names they all have for one another.

Wow! This book had me crying from the start.  Great job, Amanda Lance!! This book was filled with so much emotion I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest.  I love Charlotte and Williams’ characteristics. Yes, Charlotte was depressed and she was without a doubt going to commit suicide. She knew where her mind was at. She knew she didn’t want to be in pain anymore. But what’s left for someone who feels absolutely nothing?  William just couldn’t walk away. He couldn’t leave her on that overpass. Mr. Wild streak wasn’t afraid to show his sensitive and caring side. And he is totally swoon worthy. Very entertaining and a down right bad boy with a heart. This book consumed me from the very beginning and I could not bring myself to put it down. The way Amanda was able to express the darkness within Charlotte was captivating. The emotions pour through the pages and seep into your very soul. I cried, I sob, I laughed, I snickered and I felt my heart break and then mended back together bit by bit. This was a beautifully developed story, had a fantastic story line and amazing characters. This is definitely a book you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

I loved this book so freaking much!!! Not surprising since I loved the wanted series by Amanda Lance.... The story Charlotte told broke my heart ..the pain and despair she felt and went thru tore me apart!!! When William came into her life I rejoiced. I found their banter to be funny and super sweet. I loved all aspects of this story and look forward to reading more from this couple if any book in the future will be made.

This is a very well written book - it had to be to keep my interest in the beginning.  It was very hard for me to read the beginning because of my dislike for suicide.  And if I wouldn't have promised to read it for Amanda I would have never finished it because that is what this whole book is about.  But she does a great job.  This is a very dark and emotional book.  But I loved the banter between William and Charlotte and in the end I did enjoy the book.  I mean who doesn't love a book with a girl who needs saving and a bad boy with a soft side that wants to do nothing but save her.  I gave it 4 stars because Amanda wrote the story so well - even with some grammar errors.

Oh crikey this was a good read. No actually that’s not right, this wasn’t a good read; this was a FANTASTIC read! For readers that love emotional books, stories that revolve around strains in life, breaking through barriers and subjects that you hope to have never come across yourself then Breakdown will undoubtedly tick all the boxes for a great emotional rollercoaster ride and it will morely likely probably be a ride unlike any you’ve taken before. Amanda could not have penned Charlotte’s character any better. Right from the start Charlotte’s state of mind drip fed into me and I was feeling everything she was, including when she simply wasn’t feeling. I was on the ledge with her, I was numb with her, I was suffocating with her and I was lonely with her. Gosh I honestly don’t think I have read a book written quite like this before and I was blown away with it. William was her perfect saviour. His nickname he gave her; so apt. His persistence to make sure she was still living; perfectly written. Their banter when it’s about her current state; brilliant. His ‘day job’ gave this a nice edge and something completely out of the norm. Yeah sometimes I felt a smidge in the middle of a Need for Speed film but hey it was worth it. The connection written between the thrill and the rush and then the feelings it evoked were like flints being hit together, first the sparks then maybe a flash only for a flame to not appear if you don’t keep it up the momentum. This book was very emotional; it’s a heartstring tugger for sure. But for once I wasn’t left a blubbering mess, I just felt completely enveloped by everything. Charlotte’s highs, her lows; I felt them all. I can’t fault a single area in the deliverance of Breakdown. I will definitely re-read this book again at some point again for sure. It’s a diamond of a read. I received a copy of Breakdown in return for an honest review. My reviews are my own and are 100% honest. And I have to add this to Amanda I can’t thank you enough for sending me this fabulous read, truly it was amazing journey and is now firmly planted in my favourites.

I loved Breakdown.. it was fantastically written you can feel the sadness from Charlotte's character. She is at the very end of the rope, ready to give up. Her plan is well laid out she knows exactly what time and how she is going to end this unhappiness she is living with. But she never expected to run into a hot street racer who will flip her world and give her a reason to smile. Charlotte (Lottie) is accustomed to being on her own both her parents are always traveling. Their is no communication with them and the little communication she does have is to tell her what to do. And she always does what they say which is why she is going to college and studying a career she doesn't want. Beacuse she feels lonely she decides it is time to end the situation. She make her plan on how and when she will commit suicide. But her plan is ruined when a sexy street racer interrupts her plans and decides to stay at her side no matter what. (The first few chapters are difficult to read because it is so well written you can actually feel Lottie's pain and sadness.) When William steps in and takes her along to a street race where he introduces her to some of his friends then follows her home to make sure she leaves the bridge. She enjoyed herself... but decides she will proceed with her plans the following day. Next day her plans are ruined once again when William shows up at her door step and invites himself in. Her days continue much the same with William coming around, and the day he doesn't she steps out of her comfort zone to go look for him at one of the races. Lottie begins to be dependent of William to feel. William is the only one who has cared enough for her well being and makes her feel things from an adrenaline rush to excitement over seeing him. But when Lottie begins to uncover things that are off about William and she questions him about it. When she get half answer she continues to investigate on her own. The things she begins to uncover suddenly become so clear when all of a sudden William and his friends dissappear. Without William and the feelings he made her feel Charlotte begins to spiral into depression once again. One she decides she won't go there again and she sets off to find William suceeding. William wants her and she Wants William. Will they stay together? This story was very touching.. Charlotte on the verge commiting suicide meets William who actually cares to check on her. Even though she refuses to except his help secretly she craves it and the attention he is giving her. Little by little their friendship and eventually their love begins to grow. I love that this story shows how the kindness and caring of one person can make a difference in another persons life! Amanda Lance thank you for sharing this beautiful Story of Charlotte and William's love with us!
