O!M!G! Seriously?!? This book is a literary masterpiece (as another reviewer called it)? Don't get me wrong, I have read and liked many of Brown's books, but this book sucked. The "heroine" is a simpering fool and the "hero" is a neanderthal. I read a lot, all kinds of books, but mostly romance, and let me tell you, there is nothing remotely romantic about this book. The phrases Brown used to describe her character's feelings and longing/lust were gag-worthy. I rolled my eyes so many times I made myself dizzy. I understand this book is over 25 years old, but even then we had common sense and didn't live life thinking with our genetalia, incapable of being in the same room with the man/woman of our dreams and functioning at normal capacity at the same time. Take my advice, skip this book, you won't miss it.

This is one of those romances that is forbidden, but most deserved. I seriously read this book about fifty times already and will probably read it another fifty more times. If you like a juicy romance story with a little scandalous act, you will want to get this in your hands. Continue to keep up the good work Sandra, so I can continue to buy more book shelfs for my books, lol.

Just finished reading Breakfast In Bed and the sequal Send No Flowers and while I found the stories somewhat predictable the writing, as usual in Sandra Brown books, was fantastic. Ms. Brown develops characters so beautifully and her vocabulary is unequaled. She defines love scenes like no other... Instead of tawdry and cheap she defines them in language that is lyrical and beautiful. I would recommend both of these books to all readers. PLEASE read this one first and then Send No Flowers is a MUST... The stories involve two best friends, Sloan and Alisha, and their rocky road to love and happiness. Short books in terms of pages but very BIG in terms of beautifully written stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were strong, and the story moved along nicely.

Breakfast in Bed by Sandra Brown Sloan runs a bed and breakfast and allows single women and couples, not single men. Except her best girl friends soon to be husband, Carter will be staying there, finishing his novel then onto his wedding with Alesha. She helps him in writing his book, acting out scenes and things heat up over time and they wonder how they will be able to explain to Aleshi that they couldn't be wed. She doesn't want to continue with his advances but he's becoming very forceful. Due to the weather everyone has cancelled for the weekend. This means she will be in the B+B with just him, but then her girl friend calls and she is coming up to visit as Carter in his calls to her seems distant.

Brown's Breakfast In Bed is the best romance novel I've ever read, and I've read quite a few. Her great use of imagery and diction can just bring chillbumps to your skin.

This was the first book I read by Sandra Brown and has got me hooked to her writing. I couldnt put it down, i stayed up to early hours of the morning to finish, but it was well worth it. I laughed, cried, and really felt the connection between these two characters (Sloan and Carter). I highly recommend this book to any true romance novel lovers, THIS IS THE BEST

It seems that every Sandra Brown book I read gets better and better. This book was incredible! There wasn't a dull spot in the whole book. I liked the way that Carter expressed his feelings so openly with Sloan. Most books seem to have the woman expressing her feelings more than the man. One part that made me mad(although it only added to the story) was the fact that Carter would have gone through with marrying Alicia even though he loved Sloan. By marrying Alicia, everyone would have been miserable. You would have to be one heck of a person to sacrifice the person you love for a friend. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I gave it to my friend so that she could read it and talk with me about it.
