I definitely recommend reading this after ESCORTED. I was glad there was more to their story. I didn't feel the ending to ESCORTED was enough. S.A.K.

Absolutely loved this book. I was a little concerned if it could hold my attention being so long, but it did. I found it difficult to put down!

This story is a sequel to Escorted and is told entirely in Anders point of view. Anders knows sex. Sometimes he thinks it's all he knows. But Lori has shown him that she sees through his facade and really loves the man behind the mask. When something happens that shakes him to the core, will he reveal to her the truth of hide his brokenness once again? I thought this was a great sequel to Escorted! I was really interested to read a story told entirely in Anders point of view and I wasn't disappointed. While there is plenty of sex in the story, it's purpose is to convey what Anders feels -that his worthiness of Lori lies strictly in his ability to please her sexually. But Lori knows him and sees what he's doing, calling him on it and making him realize that to hold on to her, he must be willing to reveal everything, not just the parts of him he is willing to share. It's a fast, sexy read with a wonderful emotional undertone. 5 stars.

This should be read after Escorted to get any enjoyment out of this book! Having said that I am a little disappointed. I feel like this wasnt a real ending to their story. I would have liked more sight into their future. All in all I love this couple so good read.

Breaking by Claire Kent **I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley** This is the story of Ander and Lori and is told in the POV of Ander. I found it quite difficult to connect with this book and found myself getting frustrated with this big secret that was making Ander behave the way he was. For me there was too much mystery surrounding Ander’s mental state and as the book was about his relationship with Lori being affected by whatever he was processing internally, it was really difficult for me to achieve a connection with the characters or the book. I got quite frustrated the fact that book held back on Ander’s issues. I wanted to as least have some insight as to how he was behaving the way he was. With all the angst that was drummed up I was greatly let down when it came out what the issue was. I’m not saying that this is a bad book, it just didn’t do it for me at all and the only reason I finished it was because it was a short book. Although the storyline could be why it’s a short story rather than a novel.

It's a great follow up and I loved reading about these two again but I wish it had shown their wedding either in an epilogue or as part of the story. Still a good read though.

My Thoughts: When Escorted was over, I didn't expect to see any more of the story. But I found out there was this little novella and I knew I had to read, especially when I found out it was going to be from Ander's perspective. Ander is going through something and he isn't being upfront about it with Lori. She doesn't know what to do, what to say. You can feel the struggle he's going through, and you want so much to help him through it, whatever it is. Despite this, the two of them still have their remarkable passion... and once they pull through, you can feel the weight lifted. Breaking is one of those heartbreakingly real stories. The feels are genuine, and so is the pain. I really liked seeing Ander and Lori's story continued, and I'm glad that Claire Kent told it to us. Although I don't expect any more of their story told, I love them enough to want to see more, and that shows how great the story really is. My Rating: Very Good

Good finish to a few questions that were left over from the best book ever, Escorted. Make sure you read Escorted first then this book and it is a complete story.

This novella provided closure on Ander's and his dad relationship. It also revealed a more vulnerable Ander.

3.5 Stats. Quick read not a sequel, thank goodness!!! But focused on Ander's broken past issues... Still love both Lori and Ander's characters and their chemistry. LOVETOREAD

After reading (and loving) "Escorted," I was looking forward to getting inside Ander's head and understanding him better. Unfortunately, he spends so much of this novella hiding fom his own emotions that he never stops coming off as guarded. I think the story would have benefitted from a little less time spent between the sheets and a little more time exploring how Ander's pain was affecting him in other ways. On the positive side, Ander and Lori are still adorable together, their love for each other feels real, and this story is still worth reading for fans of "Escorted."

I received this ebook from Netgalley and Claire Kent in exchange for an honest review. I liked "Escorted". My main complaint, in that story, was that I wanted to hear more from Ander's point of view. Some of what he and Lori when through was difficult to read and frustrated me because I didn't know what he was thinking and/or feeling. Having Ander's voice is what I liked best about "Breaking". I very much enjoyed seeing them together and happy. I am always glad to revisit my couples On the other hand, I did not feel there was much depth or point to this Novella. It was mostly erotica. For me, it was missing something. So I was a little disappointed
