Overview

As a slayer, Max thinks she knows all about vampires. She's wrong and her world is about to be turned upside down.

The Breed trained her as a blunt instrument to destroy vampires. But Max is horrified to learn that some of her fellow slayers are not what they seem.
When a brutal zero-tolerance policy raid on her hometown turns out to be a ruse to force her to betray her vampire father, she's forced to choose between the devil she knows, and the devils who want her dead.

On the run with her parents, having inadvertently set off a chain of events that could see the end of the vampire nation - and a human religious war that is ripping the world apart - Max is about to learn even she is not invincible.

Breed: Slayer is the first book in the Breed: paranormal horror series. If you like your vampires mean and moody, with plenty of action, a dollop of gore, and a twitch of dark humour, you will love the first installment in Sandra Seymour's page-turning adventures.

Experience Max's ordeal as she tries to make sense of her new world, and discovers a surprising heritage.

I enjoyed this book and really loved the main character, she was a well written fire cracker. There just needs to be more background built up. I felt like I was lost a few times because there wasn't enough development on the secondary characters , and there were way too many different things going on, too many different fractions and names.

It has potential to be a good book but not alot of background so you have a hard time following the story a few minor spelling issues but a good book just needs more info. Doesn't feel like the first book in a series
