This book was a delight to read. I have really enjoyed reading the series, each book kept me intrigued. I really liked how it contained the characters from the previous books. Really enjoyed, and would read more from this author.

Very good book, all the books in this series are really good, even if you think you would not like anything doing with time travel the romance incorporates it very well and anything doing with civil war is right up my alley

Another wonderful romance story set in Civil War time period by Tracey Jane Jackson. Gwen and Andrew are not from the future, but romance and suspense surround them in this addition of the Bride Series. Once you begin this series, you will be on the edge of your seat with each and every adventure and mishap. This is a must have for your collection.

In addition to this book being a civil war time romance, there is also mystery and history involved. If you haven't read the books written previous to this one, you really need to do yourself a favor and read them. You will know more about the other characters in this book, friends of Gwendolyn and Andrew, some of who have come from the future, met each other and married, or married those they meet in the past where they are sent to stay. There is much more about the time travel in the previous books. Each of the past books are about one or more of Gwendolyn and Andrews friends, who find each other and after much that happens to them along the way, they marry and for some they start their families. Now is the time for Gwendolyn and Andrew to find their way to each other through much that stands in their way, due to Andrews being quite a bit older and injured during the war. There are also problems for this couple and their friends when two of the women in the story are kidnapped, one of them is Gwendolyn. Will they find the women in time? Will Gwendolyn and Andrew be able to start their life together as this book is about their story? You have to read it to find out..... You also will find out if the Ransom is paid in time or if the mystery of where the women were taken to is worked out in time... At the end of the book, you will find that the next book will have yet another couple who is planning a wedding and a life together and I am sure, there will once again be elements of history (the civil war), time travel, romance and mystery. What more could a person ask for? Here is the information from the back of the book: Gwendolyn Butler has been in love with Andrew Simmonds since she was fifteen years old. He saved her from a potentially harmful fall from a horse and when she looked into his eyes, she was immediately lost. When Andrew Simmonds meets Gwen, he realizes he has met the woman he wants for life, however, she is too young. He writes to her, promising a commitment, but when he is badly injured at Shiloh trying to save his best friend, he makes the decision to cut ties with his beloved in order to protect her from his hideous scars. A threat to his brother-in-law prompts a plan of action, but something goes wrong. Gwen is kidnapped and held for ransom. Will Andrew get to her in time? Will they make it down the aisle, or are they destined to always be apart?
