The new stories fleshed out a lot the characters, especially molly, butters, Maggie and mouse. But the other stories can be found in other books that were published. It is still worth the buy for the new stories.

Am a fan of the Dresden Files, so already know the characters. It was a Good mix of character studies and action, especially the last original story. It was nice having author intros on the writing background of each story too. The only quibble I have with Butcher's first person narration style in this series is tone and inner voice/personality often sounds very similar--even when the character isn't Harry. This group of stories addressed that better for the most part th hsn previous stories.

The worst part of each story is knowing they will soon end. Butcher is one of the best authors alive, easily.

Yep... I really enjoyed seeing the Zoo trip from the different perspectives and I really like learning more about Molly as well. The story with Butters could almost be it's own crossover series or something...

Different enough to get you thinking and enough the same to keep you reading and enjoying

So I have to award less than perfect because the last story had more going on with it than I think it needed. I won't spoil anything, so I'll leave it at that. I loved both of the Molly stories and those gave a lot of insight into the Winter Court. Kudos for additional world building and further evidence to support Mouse's awesomeness.

As stand alone stories or as a bridge to fill in the gaps, these are well thought out and entertaining tales. I thoroughly enjoyed the different perspectives.

Would have given 5 stars but had already had read the Bigfoot stories. For 5 stars I want all new material. Excellent story crafting and characters. Fast paced and relatable .

You get a better view into the minds of the people around Harry.

I don't usually like short story collections, but these kept the consistency of the Dresden stories, and answered some questions. As usual MR Butcher has made me laugh and kept me entertained with a unique story telling style.

Amazing how Jim Butcher cand wrap so much emotion into such short stories. Especially towards the end, was crying with joy reading the different point of views of the Dresden family.

This is an amazing grouping of short stories in the Dresden Files universe. It fills in some holes left by the books and does nothing but make you thirst for the next book.

This second collection of Jim Butcher’s Harry Dresden related short stories is highly entertaining and essential reading for understanding Butcher’ wizardly characters. I say “Dresden-related” because many of these stories focus on Dresden’s friends and acquaintances, with little or no sign of Dresden himself. Each story tells us something about Dresden himself, or the world he inhabits. The last story in which Dresden takes his daughter and his Foo dog to the zoo is worth the pice of the book by itself.

The good: it's a new Dresden book The bad: it took to long to come out, and is too short Butcher is simply a great story teller. His books feel like great adventure stories. Great characters, fantastic plots, yet they still feel like home.

I loved that we get to hear from other characters' POVs. Can't wait to see where Dresden's and his cohorts' story goes.
