This book was phenomenal! I feel more empowered to help my baby be more smart, secure and happy. I have heard all the news about how early the brain develops, but I never could figure out what to be doing with my son. Now, I know! I feel like I can make better decisions about what toys to buy (or not buy), how and why to read books, why I don't need brainy videos or TV, how to pick a child care center, etc....I feel so relieved. I'm so glad someone finally wrote a book like this that tells me not just what to do, but explains why I might want to do certain things over others.

Invaluable. Scientific information is presented in a way that is easy to understand and read. There is no specific technique or methodolgy being pushed on the reader - just solid information and ideas. Thank you Jill Stamm for this eonderful work.

I loved this book despite the fact that I thought its section on language development was too short and not in-depth. The book gives you great practical advise. The main idea in a nutshell is that babies first of all need to be loved, hugged and kissed. My husband liked the book as well. I'd say its a must-read for every parent.
