Trapped in a bad marriage to a much older woman, Dave Radcliffe is determined to be the best father possible to his teenage daughter, Tracey. When his daughter is raped by two Moslem asylum seekers, Dave joins the ultra-racist political Party, The English National League (E.N.L), and soon becomes their MP for Coventry North-East Constituency. His racist and Islamophobic manifesto wins him many supporters. But Dave harbours a dark secret that could destroy his reputation if discovered. He has a black mistress, Dee Vickers, who has a son for him. Exposure would ruin him politically, socially and financially. When his wife discovers the affair, she exacts a terrible revenge that will leave Dave, not only fighting for his career, but for his life. Brown Plague is a romantic story, inspired by the British National Party manifesto, with a strong racist and political theme.
