About the Author

Erica von Trapp is an American chef professionally groomed in New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Oregon, and Paris, France with an unusual number of food allergies for someone making a career out of cooking food. At the age of 10, a severe allergic reaction to a Brazil Nut almost took her life, and mandated strict attention to the ingredients she ingested.
Growing up closely monitoring her diet, she safely made it to UCLA to obtain her bachelor's degree in both History and France, a year of which she lived and studied at La Sorbonne IV in Paris, France. After graduating in 2009, she started Bubble Child, the cookbook, out of want to share her allergy-free home cooking. Her blog, BubbleChild.com, commenced shortly thereafter, when a café she was selling baked goods to requested she have her own site. Within those years she bounced across the coasts cooking at a variety of award-winning restaurants in New York, New York, and Portland, Oregon.
She currently cooks, lives, and dances under the Michelin Stars in Paris, France.
