This is the second book in this sports series – at this rate Jean could write about the whole football team.  The writing is well done and the story flows nicely. The twists and drama keep you engrossed.  Buddy and Emmy have lots of obstacles to overcome in order to get their Happily Ever After. I needed to read it all at once to see what happened next.  I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Love lost & found, deceit, betrayal, reconnection…this one has it all. I love learning the back story on Buddy & Emerald, and the “butterflies” (and accusations) when they see each other again. The reconnections being plagued by the deceit of Stash. This is just another great one from Jean Joachim…looking forward to the next in the series…

I have been waiting for so long (ok, a month, maybe 2) for Buddy's story, and Jean did not disappoint. Buddy is an awesome hero, pretty laid back with a phenomenal personality. I had a somewhat love/hate relationship with Emmy, but she definitely came through in the end. The secondary characters were awesome, whether they were villainous or friendly. The whole story flowed awesomely, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this awesome series. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome sports romance

Young love given a second chance...what's not to like about that? Buddy and Emmy, college sweethearts who promised each other forever, but then life got in the way. Emmy is a rock star...literally, and Buddy makes the NFL. Each one has misconceptions about the other, hurt feelings, and other love interests, but they've always held their hearts out for each other. Five years pass and they finally reunite, but not without some fireworks! The second book in Jean Joachim's First and Ten series, was well done! I read the first book in the series and was waiting for this one to become available. Carrying over the 'supporting cast' from the first book was wonderful. I can't wait to read about them! I love book series since you get to become familiar with all of the characters and it's like coming to a family reunion when a new book is released. I was a bit disappointed with how naive Emmy was about the people surrounding her! She was very critical of Buddy, but she let others stomp all over her! I just can't see an intelligent woman allowing that kind of manipulation. Of course we all have our 'buttons', and sometimes we don't anticipate those who we think are behind us 100% to absolutely betray our trust.

I love Jean Joachim's books. I really loved this book. It is a sweet romance with challenges to overcome with both Buddy and Emmy. Emmy has always wanted to be a rock star, but she feels like something is missing. I love these 2 quotes from the book below. What would you do for your one true love? Would you leave behind something you have wanted your entire life (ie career) or do you just go for it? "Still, she hungered for something else. Something more." (Ebook page 85) "He was the symbol of what she was missing, her one true love." There was something that did not sit with me about Stash. I am not sure what it is. But, I think he was too possessive of Emmy. I would definitely read more by Jean!! ☆☆☆☆☆ I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes! Would I read more from this author? Yes! Happy Reading! Melissa

I have yet to find a book by Jean Joachim that doesn't wow me. I'm loving the First and Ten series. The men are hot and the women keep everyone on their toes. I especially adore Buddy who's been waiting for the chance to see Emmy again, I love the tough womanizer, who's really a big softy. The continuation of Griff and Lauren's story, as well as the interaction with the whole team adds to the overall series. If there was one thing I didn't care for it was Stash, but he definitely helps shape the story, I just wanted to slap him at times. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series!
