Overview

One night gave her everything. One night almost took it all away.

Isabella Grace never had a place she could call home until she moved to Winchester Falls. When a romantic moment ends in pain and horror, Isabella must deal with the aftermath of one woman’s vengeance.

After tragedy rocks the small town, the people rally around its newest member, and Logan King, Bella’s rockstar boyfriend, is doing his best to help her pick up the pieces of her shattered life. In spite of the secrets and suspicion that have dogged their every step since the beginning, he helps her find her way back to herself in the midst of her heartbreak over all she has lost. But his unrelenting need for revenge is shaking the bedrock of the foundation of the love they’d only begun to build—and Bella isn’t at all sure they’ll get through it unscathed.

Or alive.

About the Author

Hi, I'm Taryn Elliott. I'm a contemporary romance author that has made it my mission in life to get as many stories out of my head and onto the page as possible. From rock stars to tattoo artists, winery entrepreneurs to book owners, millionaires to carpenters, there's never a dull moment when I'm at the keyboard. I come from one of those households that loved television, music and reading. So I tend to incorporate all of them into my writing in one way or another. I fall in love with the hero in my book as I write him, so I hope you will too.

Following her very public break-up with Logan King, Isabella Grace has thrown herself into doing what she does best. Immersing herself in her business, Between the Lines, she doesn't have the time to think about Logan and what they had. Although he's left Winchester Falls for New York City, Logan hasn't stopped making Izzy's safety his top priority. Knowing how dangerous his ex can be, he will never stop protecting the woman that he loves. After picking my jaw up off the floor at the end of Anything But Mine (When You're Gone Book 1), I lit into this book like it was my job. I NEEDED to see how Taryn would resolve the way things broke down between Logan and Izzy. And, as ever, our lady does not disappoint. These two are just as magnetic as ever, just as hot as ever, and just as all-consuming as ever. I regularly fall in love with my book boyfriends, but, let me tell you, Logan is in a league of his own. Everything about him, especially the way that he loves Izzy, is swoony, sexy, and just, mmmmm....And Isabella is perfect for him, loving all of him, even the stuff that isn't so easy to deal with. As she does, Taryn leaves us with a heart-stopping cliffy, one that left me thinking, 'Are you KIDDING me?!' and hyperventilating. Even knowing that things could not be as easy as they appeared, the way that this one ends just wrecked me. Even so, I cannot wait for Edge of Forever, the third and final book of this trilogy. In the meantime, Bulletproof Weeks is a must-read, and gets 5+ 'I'm still fanning myself, I have to have the next one!' stars. Read these books now!

While the first book in the series was good. This one was much better. Seemed like there was more of a storyline and it kept my interest more than the first. So I would rate it a 3.5.

Izzy is now trying to re-build her life after feeling betrayed by Logan. Oh the life of a rock star! His every move is subject to the paparazzi lens, and they feast on creating trouble to sell their pictures. Never mind if what they say is true! Truth does not sell papers or pictures! With the shadow of Aimee's obsession over him, Logan can only do what he must - protect Izzy. Aimee's veiled threat against Izzy's life has shaken him to the core. He will spend his fortune protecting her from harm if it is the last thing he does. It does not matter that he has spent the last 6 months living like a hermit. He misses her and knows he might never see her again. Being followed by a security detail inconspicuously and unbeknownst to her, has not altered Izzy's resolve to loose herself in her work. Fifteen trips from coast to coast in one month alone. But she is intelligent and observant. She catches on to what is going on and then all hell breaks loose! Watch out Logan! You have some explaining to do! Logan and Izzy's story continues as they battle their bruised feelings and the deep emotions they dare not face. They love each other. Truth has not been forthcoming from Logan and Izzy will not stop now until she finds out what the heck is going on! I fell in love with Logan in the first book. I gained appreciation for Izzy for her courage, honesty and vulnerability. In this new book, I feel like I have gained true insight into the psyche of these characters. Taryn Elliott has given us here a fabulous story of love and the incredible obstacles public figures go through in order to lead a "normal" life. We fans need to reconsider how we ogle over them and respect the few moments they have to themselves. As far as I am concerned, this series has blown me away with a marvelous plot line and characters. Now waiting for March and the last book in this series Edge of Forever.

Heartbreaking cliffhanger:4 stars--BULLETPROOF WEEKS is the second installment in Taryn Elliott’s adult, contemporary When You’re Gone erotic, romance series focusing on bad boy rocker Logan King and Isabella (Izzy) Grace. Their continuing story fast forwards the series approximately six months.  Told from alternating third person points of view (Izzy and Logan) the storyline follows the rekindling relationship between Izzy and Logan. When Logan’s stalker threatened Izzy, Logan did what he thought best and walked away knowing that to do so would destroy both of their hearts. But Logan made sure that Izzy was always protected and hired a security firm to guard what was his. The focus of BULLETPROOF WEEKS finds our couple in love and hoping to make a future together. With ALL THE KING’S MEN about to set off on tour, Logan and Izzy have to make concessions-including security for their time apart. But another more dangerous threat against Izzy’s life is not taken lightly and security will come in the form of her own personal bodyguard. While Izzy and Logan try to lead a normal life, everything in the background doesn’t go according to plan. With Logan back in Winchester Falls, his band mates follow allowing for a more personal interaction with the members of the group. The relationship between Izzy and Logan is hot, sensual and erotic. Our couple make up for the missing six months. The $ex scenes are numerous, playful, inventive and energetic.  They are in love and while Logan is on tour with the band, Izzy remains behind trying to keep her life as normal as possible. The members of ALL THE KING’S MEN play a supporting role throughout the story as well as a cameo appearance and cross over by the rock group Oblivion from Taryn and Cari Quinn’s LOST IN OBLIVION series. Izzy’s BFF and book store co-owner Nichole  (and her husband Adam) become Izzy’s sole source of support during Logan’s absence and his time on the road. We are introduced to Izzy’s security team and her personal bodyguard. BULLETPROOF WEEKS ends on another cliffhanger; a heartbreaking scene for the people of Winchester Falls. Taryn Elliott captures the essence of the rock and roll bad boy; his all consuming need for the woman that he loves; and a relationship that must traverse a minefield of stalker and paparazzi dangers.

This is the second installment in the When You're Gone Series by Taryn Elliott and it did not disappoint! I now have Book 3, Edge of Forever, on my TBR list and I'm itching to get my hands on it. Loved it! March can't come soon enough! This book picks up about 6 months after Anything But Mine. Six months after Logan and Isabelle were doing their own thing, miserable and with out each other. But, someone has been watching Izzy. The reunion hurts, literally, but the yelling and crying leads to some hot make up sex! Now, they need to figure out how to make this work while keeping a regular eye on her. We follow Logan and Isabelle over the next 6 months or so as they try to keep things low key. The annual festival is coming up quickly and it's all they can do to keep things running smoothly and not blow up in their faces. Just when they think it's over, it's quite possibly the end. If you loved, Anything But Mine, you'll love Bulletproof Weeks even more. It has everything: drama, mystery, suspense and of course we can't forget the hot schmexy times. I need a Logan. A hot alpha male with money who is willing to do anything to make you happy? Yes, please! I was surprised there wasn't more of Nic and Adam in this book. There wasn't too much of them in the first book either, but even less in this one. Which surprised me seeing as how they are Isabelle's best friends. With what she was going through, I guess I just expected more. At the end of this book, you'll have Edge of Forever on your TBR too! March can't come soon enough. *I received a copy of Bulletproof Weeks from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This story was sent to me for an honest review. OMG! I really liked the cliffhanger to this book. I knew that something was going to happen but I so totally did not expect what actually happened. I like this series so far because the characters are older, making them more relatable. Logan really does love Bella but I like how she asserts her independence and he really isn't that unreasonable about it either. Even with the crazy ex running around, Logan is mainly concerned for Bella's safety and even though it bugs her, she does let him get his way with trying to keep her safe. The storyline is kept moving foward at reasonable pace, doesn't drag time out. I really dug the Oblivion cross-over (can't wait for the next book to come out in that series). The cliffhanger made me gasp and now I am anxiously awaiting for the last book to come out in this series.

Taryn does it again. I LOVE her writing. She stays true to her characters, flaws be damned and I respect that about her. Logan and Isabelle are not perfect. They have their ups and some serious downs but they love eachother. Love is messy and sometimes full of stalkers and miscommunication. Love is also full of wickedly hot love scenes. Boy can Taryn turn up the heat with hers <3 I'm excited for the final installment. Down side? The darn wait!

So Good! Anything But Mine, book 1 of the When You’re Gone trilogy, is all about the music and Logan & Isabella’s immediate attraction then headlong rush into an explosive relationship. It’s love and passion and evokes that warm feeling you get every time you hear that one special song that calls to your heart. In book 2, Bulletproof Weeks, Logan and Isabella find their way back to each other and are building a life together while facing challenges of a rockstar on the road. It has a vastly different vibe. One of pure tension. With a crazed stalker lurking, there is a constant sense of imminent danger around every corner. Watching. Waiting to strike.  The focus is more on Isabella in this book. She’s much stronger, forcing Logan to stop hiding the stalker’s evil actions from her and deal head on. Logan, because of Isabella’s love, finally finds peace with some of the demons that had been haunting him. Despite being so frequently apart due to Logan touring, their love grows…until the unthinkable happens. Bulletproof Weeks is an adrenaline rush from start to finish. It grabbed me and dragged me along in its wake. I love Logan and Isabella even more now and can’t wait for Edge of Forever to experience their final journey. After what has happened, is a happily ever after a certainty? I'm sure it will be, but suspect Taryn Elliott will wreak havoc on our emotions getting us there.
