Burning Desire: (Condemned Angels MC Series #1) by Heather Leigh

Jeremy Moretti and Chase DeLuca have grown up together and into different MCs. Their lives were promised and destined to the Condemned Angels and Hell's Rebels MCs. As they grew, so did Chase's feelings for Jeremy's younger sister, Roxanne.

Stemming from separate MCs, they have all the odds against them. Michael Moretti, President of the Condemned Angels has forewarned Chase to stay away from his daughter. There is too much at risk and clubs stick to their own. No mixing whatsoever.

The years apart have done them good; however, Roxanne has finished school and is back home, and back in Chase's life. However, she isn't alone. Roxanne is dating Jake, the Treasurer of her father's club.

Things start to go wrong as Roxy and Chase's secret feelings grow stronger for one another. Will Chase fight for what has always been his, or will the MC stand in his way?

About the Author

Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for awhile. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become apart of me.

Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the "50 Shades Baby Boom"! I remember going to my doctor's appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn't download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home.

I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby.

My work book club, "HE" had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, "hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I'd want them to." Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore.

Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started... I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the "content was inappropriate." Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer.

Jeremy and Chase have been friends they were little but they come from different MC’s. Chase has always loved Jeremy’s sister, Roxanne but they can never be together because they come from different MC’s. Chase has been warned by Roxanne’s dad to stay away. They have had a few stolen moments over the years but now Roxanne is back from college and she is dating the treasurer of her dad’s MC. Now that she is back Chase is finding it harder to ignore his feelings for her. Then he sees the way her boyfriend is treating her and he won’t let that stand. Even if they can’t be together doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about her. Chase lets her dad know what is going on and he doesn’t like it either. Roxanne has always had feeling for Chase as well but she doesn’t always understand her daddy’s rules about them not being able to be together. She isn’t completely sure what she wants to do with her life now that she is done with college. She lives with her friend Nicole. Her boyfriend is starting to scare her. Everything was great when they first starting dating but lately not so much. Especially now that she is back home and Chase is around. Can she and Chase continue to fight the feelings they have for each other? I became addicted as soon as I started reading. Chase would do anything for Roxanne. He knows he is playing with fire every time he is around Roxanne but he can’t help himself. The characters in this book are great. There were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Chase is fantastic and one of my new book boyfriends. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

4 star The daughter of the MC club Roxy is friends with Chase but he is warned away from her by her father as he is from a different club.  Chase is best friends with her brother so she still sees him.  Right now she is with Jake a treasurer from her MC.  But in a perfect world Roxy would be with Chase.  When Roxy is put into danger Chase is determined to bring her home and claim her as his own.  When it gets out that Jake is the cause of Roxy’s problems Chase makes sure he is there to take him down.  Will Roxy and Chase finally get there time to be together?  Or will Jake ruin everything? I loved these characters and also the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

TITLE~ Burning Desire (Condemned Angels MC #1) AUTHOR~ Heather Leigh GENRE~ Contemporary-Romance-Bikers-Suspense PUBLISHED~  PURCHASED/COST~ ARC for Review MY RATING~ 3 MY THOUGHTS~  I was provided with an ARC of this book for review. This particular review is difficult for me to write. I'm very conflicted about this book. The main story-line was somewhat intriguing and the writing itself wasn't bad, but all put together, I'm not a huge fan. The story felt like it needed more depth, but the idea was good. Most of it felt rushed to me. I never felt like I really knew the characters. Overall, I think this story could be a real winner with a little work. Added character development and a bit more beefed up story-line, and it would likely be a solid 4 for me. As is, though, it's a 3 for me.
