Overview

ONE JUMP PUTS IT ALL ON THE LINE…

Former SEAL Rio Donovan is one hundred percent pure, sensual trouble. Home from the front lines, he has a new mission: fighting fire as a smoke jumper. He won't back down from the flames or a dare and he loves putting it all on the line when he parachutes into the heart of a wildland fire. When the fire camp gets a much-needed new player, however, Rio lands in uncharted territory. The jump team's newest member is sexy, strong—and female. She's supposed to be just one of the boys, but Rio burns to claim her one heated kiss at a time. This jump, Rio Donovan's putting it all on the line. Body and heart.

INTO THE FIRE… AND INTO LOVE
Kissing a fellow smoke jumper would be career suicide and Gia Jackson has worked too hard and too long to earn her spot on the jump team to jeopardize it all now for a man. The love-em-and-leave-em boys of summer aren't her type and she's hiding a few secrets of her own, but, when her chute tangles with Rio's on a jump, he's thrown into her arms. Literally. She's held firm on the fireline for years—but can she hold the line now against Rio's seductive charm?

Good read but was surprised the two main characters fell so quickly considering how against it they both were. Several typos were distracting to the story, but good overall. Will look for more from this author.

Plot diverted a bit from the romance for my taste. Liked the characters but wished for more explanation at the end. Good and enjoyable however.

I really enjoyed the overall sorry line and read it fairly quickly. The story has some action and romance. There were a few times I got a little lost in some of the scenes and there were some editing issues. But overall a pretty good story.

Story whise, I loved the characters and really enjoyed how the writer put everything together, but I'm also a very technical girl. The story starts out after our characters have spent a month as partners who are fighting their feelings, which left me feeling like I was missing a large part of the story. I want to experience their struggles, not just come in when they are starting to give in. Another issue, which I found confusing and distracting, was the discrepancies in their sex life. At the start, the author writes about several instances where the characters hook up, but later on only the first time is mentioned, which throws the entire flow off. A reader shouldn't need to stop reading to try and figure out what actually happened. A similar discrepancy happens later on when the main female character is talking to two other woman and the ladies names are switched. I was left wondering for the rest of the conversation if it happened any other time. All in all I found it an enjoyable story that needed some further editing.

Exciting, adventurous heroine but a bad risk for a team player. Enjoyed the story but not one aspect. In a dangerous occupation, a physical liability is a risk for everyone, especially if it is un acknowledged.
