Reviewed by Samantha Gregory for Readers' Favorite Buster the Bully by Andrea Antico features Buster, a new boy at school, who starts bullying everyone around him. A law onto himself, Buster rules the school. That is until one day there is a tornado outside the school and, as Buster has never seen one before, he does not know what to do. He finally listens to the brainy students who explain how tornadoes work and what to do if one touches down. Buster is relieved but will this make him change his ways and become a better student and classmate? The story contains a moral for kids on the impact of bullying. Andrea Antico has created an entertaining book in Buster the Bully. Children of all ages should know about bullying and how it affects others. It is a serious situation and this is a good way of getting a message across. Most kids face some kind of bullying over time in school. Buster only becomes a better student when he realises that he doesn't have the answer to everything and needs help from others. Once he learns this, things change for Buster. I like the illustrations in this book. They are bright and cheerful and help tell the story. Young children especially will be attracted to them. The rhyming prose is fun and kids respond better to this kind of storytelling. It also means that over time they can learn the story. I think that this will do well on the market and that it will be enjoyed by young children.
