I was delighted and surprised to find this book at my local library and even more astonished as I read it.I read it twice. Dussourd chronicles social change and the lengths politicians and big business heads will go to obstruct the reduction of cunsumer overhead costs in food, shelter, transportation, education, medicine and even taxation. It's also apparent that Dussourd is an exceptional theologian. The word in Cincinnati is, he can be trusted.

'But Love's Objected' is a science fiction/fantasy novel by Joseph Dussourd which examines the philosophical and practical conflict that exists between debit- and credit-based economies as mining colonies are established on the moon, and as the middle class begins to colonize the solar system. 'But Love's Objected' depicts these issues as a conflict of personalities between the two main characters, John Jake Jackson, and Richard Mendel Bellbridge, who are hopelessly deadlocked over the separation of church and state, and the role, value, and cost of organized government as the earth-based economy faces collapse and as mankind begins to push out in the colonization of space. One of these men will not survive this confrontation. 'But Love's Objected' is not a typical sci-fi adventure with aliens and ray guns and androids. It addresses some of the most profound issues facing mankind as we enter the new mellinium. For more information, go to josephdussourd.com
