It was three years ago when a group of young successful friends, who all have wrecked love lives, found themselves in the midst of several brutal murders on Chicago's Westside. The mystery surrounding the deaths remained unsolved until now. Caught in the middle is Jake Alexander a man trying to find his way as a lover, father, and spiritual being. But his niche is getting himself and everyone around him into trouble and adventure.

Back in Chicago he and his friends have started to put back the pieces of their lives. Two days before Jake and his ex-wife Indigo are to remarry, an anonymous caller threatens to expose darks secrets each is hiding in their distant pasts. The reason? In one of their possession is a missing diary detailing the sexual affairs of a powerful Senator, whose run for President will be jeopardized by the scandal if the diary isn't recovered. To demonstrate his intentions to stop at nothing to save his campaign, the Senator uses his political power to probe into the lives of all those involved in the diary's disappearance.

I couldn't it down. I read this novel a few weeks ago and thought damn this is such a interesting story. The dialogue was very good and made the character feel like they were there with me. Also the story line was very unique.

This was by far one of the less favorable books I've read. The storyline was weak, and the plot was not well connected. I purchased the book at one of the author's signings, and I wish I could get a refund!! A definite 'don't buy'. Barnes and Noble is smart for not carrying this one!!
