A sentient meteor, accompanied by a living storm, crashes into New York City. That storm rearranges the DNA of every citizen - transforming them into hybrids. The Big Five -a hawk, a mantidfly, a frog, a leopard and a butterfly - each had a dream. Their dreams uprooted, the Big Five must now dethrone a wasp queen. A queen who wishes to place her larvae in the heads of every bird to enlist them. Even the flowers weren't safe - The flowers grew large and evolved powerful influences over those who consumed them.
