Butterfly Kisses is the first book in The Orange Blossom series, the latest in heartwarming Women's Fiction from National Readers' Choice Award winner, Leigh Duncan.
Justine Gale just got incredible news. The struggling single mom has inherited the flourishing citrus grove where she spent idyllic summers and formed lifelong friendships. Once on the fast track to success, Justine has recently learned her five-year-old daughter faces a lifetime of expensive medical treatments. Treatments, she can't afford. The decision to sell the land her family has owned for generations seems like the simple and smart way for Justine to provide for her daughter's future. But when she returns to Orange Blossom, she quickly realizes her plans could hurt every resident of the small town that depends on Castle Grove to survive.
Justine's dilemma is only complicated by Nate Rhodes, her first love and now Orange Blossom's mayor, who stakes his own claim to the land she has inherited. He'll do whatever it takes to stop her, even if it means losing the woman he loves...one more time.
About The Orange Blossom series: Welcome to Orange Blossom, a town that owes its existence to the early settlers who were stubborn enough--or foolish enough--to brave Florida's mosquitoes and hurricanes until their wives and children finally started calling the central part of the state their home. That was four generations back. Since then, the population has grown to a whopping nine hundred and forty-three quirky characters, ornery cusses and staid leading citizens who worry that nearby Orlando, where theme parks sprout on every corner and tourists crowd the streets, will gobble up their small town. Others fear a big juicing conglomerate will snatch up the last family-owned-and-operated citrus grove around these parts. Either scenario is sure to drive every store in Orange Blossom out of business, and what would the town be without Miss June's Pie Shop on Main Street, or the Book Nook down on the square?
But change is coming. The girls who spent their summers at the camp Margaret and Jimmy Castle ran for kids who had nothing better to do than get in trouble are grown now. The ones who stuck around Orange Blossom all these years are taking a fresh look at their hometown, while those who left miss its quiet streets and laid-back lifestyle. And they're coming home to renew old friendships, grab a second chance at life...and fall in love.
Special Note from the Author: Like Justine's daughter, my own family has been impacted by kidney disease, a condition that affects 26 million adults and puts 1 in 3 Americans at risk. To raise funds for research and help patients and their families, I'm donating a portion of the sales from Butterfly Kisses to the National Kidney Foundation.

A wonderful kick-off to a new women's fiction series by Leigh Duncan! BUTTERFLY KISSES the first book in Orange Blossoms series by Leigh Duncan. RELEASES June 13. They were called the Three Musketeers, a summer of skinny dipping, ice cream and riding bikes into Orange Blossoms. Unexpected death, college, a trip to Italy for one, and plans from then to now has changed. What Nate thought he would get, by being a manager of the citrus grove, after ten years of tolling the soil . Now goes to a niece, single mom with a child with serious health problems. Her goal is to sell, but the impact on the town, and what Nate has done, as mayor, can she. Emotional story, dealing with illness of a child, and everything seems hopeless. A love you had when young, still seems hopeless. Can Nate, and Justine remembering the summers in Orange Grove build into something more. Given ARC for my voluntary review review and my honest opinion.
