Years ago, i borrowed this book from a friend. It was compelling yet fun, an easy read, and a perfect choice for a female teenager. Ive been a VC addict ever since.

The Book Butterfly is the best one out of the seires of the Orphans. She did a pretty good job on it for it being the first on in the series. Only thing that bothers me is that they start out kinda boring but they do get better!

This book was a great book, but sad. Her life seemed to be going so great until her new mother became obessesive over balet, and went crazy.

I loved this book. I love all of V.C Andrews' books. But this one was awesome.I totally recomend it to anyone who's never read it. I felt sorry for Janet because that obssed woman(Celine)pushed her way to hard.

Butterfly is the best book I've ever read. I have read all of the other series but... this is my favorit. She has had a har life. She is so fragial and some thimes is so exsostied to do her dances. I cant belive that her foster mother went crazy over her not danceing one day.

It had a great plot, but the ending was so unexpected, which is good, but it just wasn't what one would want the bok to end.

This was a good book but I think it was aimed at kids who are a little younger than me. I also think this book is a little depressing with all the orphan stuff. Janet is good character but I would have liked her better if she stood up for herslef once and a while. All she said was 'Yes Mother' or nothing at all. I also think someone should have rolled Celine (Janet's adopted Mom) down the stairs. Celine only adopted Janet so she could have a daughter that could be a dancer just like she was. Celine is obsessed with dancing adn you want to kill her throughout most of the book. I'm going to spoil the ending so if you don't want to know stop reading.-------------------------------------------------Janet gets returned to an orphanage after Celine goes crazy because Janet can't dance as well as she wants her to. Also, there is another student in Janets ballet class who sexually harasses her. Happy Reading.
