This is an amazing, emotional, sexy, romantic story which I loved reading!!! Brought tears to my eyes and kept me wanting for more story all the way through. Although repeatedly Red Phoenix said that this is a standalone story, I so wish there could be more in the future. Even in the far ahead future. ;) I love paranormal stories especially with shifters and this is a unique one.

Freya is dying, I didn't expect this for my heroine, so she goes to her home country of Scotland to spend her final days living out a lifelong dream to experience Scotland. She comes upon a castle ruin which brings her into contact with a group of men that have a wolf connection, something she isn't supposed to see or know about so they want her killed. Bryn, the leader of the pack, senses her health condition so they let her live but she keeps encountering the men/wolves. Why does she keep crossing their paths? Why are her dreams about things from the past? Can Bryn really let her go? Red Phoenix pulled me into Freya's journey and kept me guessing as to what would happen next. I loved how Freya connected with Bryn with so much intensity and passion. A great step in a world of the unknown.

This book made me cry, I'd say that was a very well written story. Such sadness turned into a love with no bounds.. To know that death awaits you in a matter of hours and then in a blink of the eye to have life everlasting and a love to go with it. Very heartfelt story
