I would give this book about a 95. I have been a programmer for years, so I did not need to read an intro to programming. Fortunately this book assumes a certain amount of programming skill, so it was a great way to learn a "new" language. A few of he topics towards the end were a little hard to grasp - the author and I were not in sync, but I was able to learn he bulk of what I needed to know as to slide into a new position at my company. Thicker book intimidate me and thinner books either don't cover enough material or don't present concepts well. this was for the most part the right mix and with the source code and MS Visual Studio Community edition I learned the C# language at a rapid pace. I have been working with VB.Net for years, but C# is just so much easier to understand, IMO
