The C++ Primer is a great, classic book on C++, and this revision continues in that tradition. BUT, it's a bad book to have in a nook app. It's particularly bad on a phone (even with margins set to narrow, it can still push block indented text down to an inch across). On a tablet, it's only almost acceptable, with much of the formatting still very poor and difficult to read. And now, since I can't take personal electronics into my office and with no version of the book available in the Nook Web Reader, I'm probably going to have to buy a physical book for my shelf at work. I'd give this book five stars since it is how I learned C++ when I was in high school, but the Nook experience is worth at least -3 stars. Maybe more.

This book is a great text to go through after a beginners textbook. It could even serve as a reference. Do not buy from B&N. It took them about a month to deliver the book although they promised a 3-5 day shipping.

It is the best book when learning C++. But it is not easy to understand at beginning. For those very beginners, another book named"essential c++" may be more suitable. PS: I wonder that why the most recent review of this book is posted ten years ago...?
