Aw, Cade, the surfer/cowboy, what an incredible challenge he faces. At the height of his surfing career, life crashes down with the death of his parents throwing him into instant “parenthood” as he becomes the guardian for his brother’s and must take over running the family ranch. He is stalwart and steps in to do what he must for his family, something that he truly cherishes and loves. After several years, his brother Ty surprises him with an organic consultant to change how the farm runs but Cade is deviant and doesn’t want anything to change. Nina is passionate about her work, she believes organic is the best option but now she has to get past Cade’s reservations to truly help this family and their ranch. Of course, it doesn’t help that sexy Cade was the one-night stand she hooked up with her first night in town. How will these two handle their attraction? I love how this book is about family and what someone will do for the family that they love unconditionally. We get to experience Cade’s devotion to his brothers, Ty and Vaughn along with this niece Katie, who is a show stealer, and his Aunt Lynn. I love it when I get to immerse myself with a full cast of characters which makes me anxious to experience each one’s own journey as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life.
Omg love the start to this new series...nina and cade are amazing...cant wait for more
This book has everything I look for in a great read! Three sexy single brothers who run a modern day ranching operation and surf in their spare time, plenty of complex family dynamics, a cute little 4 year old that rules the roost and a gorgeous brown eyed blonde that shakes things up on the ranch and gives Cade a real run for his money, in bed and out of it, too. It's the story of a third generation ranching operation in California that is both Cade's greatest pride and his biggest sacrifice. He loves his family and takes pride in his heritage but he's about to come face to face with a woman who is going to challenge everything he thought he knew about himself, his brothers and the path in life he thought he wanted but never got to take. Welcome to Big Sur Ranch, California style. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
