John Wayne as James Bond in space Folks who like their genres to be neat and well-separated may not appreciate this story. Folks who like a lot of action will be too caught up to worry about it. This story starts off with a bang...a few missile detonations, actually...and only slows down enough for the reader to grab a breath in places. This isn't the first installment in the Cahill Chronicles, but enough backstory is given that the reader doesn't get lost. I'm withholding one star because this isn't groundbreaking work that redefines the science fiction genre. It is, however, a highly entertaining read. Go on...see for yourself.
