Calix is the perfect 'fright night' companion for those who love the occult and the horror it conjures up. You can smell, taste, touch, and feel everything the unsuspecting couple from New England feels as they are thrust into an plight which expands centuries in which they have lost all control. The main characters had settled in a quiet British countryside filled with farmhouses and antiques which they sold and traded, but they are forced to return to New England because one of those very antiques has taken over their quiet reality and the very lives of others in their small village they now call home. The story starts in Salem Massacheusetts in the late 1600's where you return to the scene of New England's first and most notorious series of crimes to understand what evil now controls the once quiet world in present day Yorkshire Dales. Calix is a skillfully written yarn not to be read alone in a thunderstorm! Hope to see more from writer Ray Clark.
