Her historical objectivity show there are few similarities left today in California from those days of fifty to one-hundred years ago. Are the streets truly 'paved with gold' in California? Several political conclusions are reached regarding important issues of historical significance that may help bring about a healing in our nation, bringing Americans together in a national purpose.
