At last, the final chapter of Patrick the Wayward Setter!
What does it take to be considered a hero?

There are many changes in the Anderson household while political strife takes over in the Mideast. Now eighteen years old, Jake decides to enlist in the Marine Corps as the family accepts his nine year old cousin, MJ into the family because his father was also called into service. MJ brings along Sean, a beautiful Irish setter, causing Mike once again to doubt the wayward setter that he has in Patrick.
Yet, it is during a raging forest fire that both Sean and Patrick are put to the test when MJ is trapped inside a burning inferno.
When pressed into duty, who will answer the call to serve?

Due to the mature content of this story, it is meant for children ages ten and up

Chris is an awesome author, his poems at the end of this story are what makes this book what it is, superbly written and unforgettable! I am a Marine, I was drawn to the book by the cover first, the story second, but mainly, seeing Chris's work is what will make me keep this book. Good job, Chris, I loved it! I look forward to more work from you. Diane, his influence will rub off on you....stick with him, he's a pro!!!

Look closely folks...Christopher Swanson's name will soon be off this book...which is sad because this is where he shines in his writing. His gritty poems at book's end have been revered by the military as well as families whose kids are enlisting. The whole story of how the Anderson's are coping with oldest son, Jake's announcement that he is Marine Corps bound has the family reflecting on how that decision will impact them. Fine reading, I highly suggest this, the last in the "Patrick" series! Buy one now!

For reasons I'd rather not explain, I have found out that Diane Ganzer is not who she portrays herself to be. And therefore, as an author myself, I would not recommend reading any of Diane Ganzer's books.
